Easy Mo Bee
Many know Easy Mo Bee for the reputation as a Hip Hop producer and that's mostly all that they may know. But I am also a drummer, an avid collector of vinyl and have been spinning as a DJ on turntables since the tender age of 11 years old.
With a massive vinyl record collection that spans from Soul/R&B to Hip Hop, Breakbeats, Rare Groove, Classic Disco and yes of course... House Music, I have always found time to be on the turntables. This page is to solemnly declare my decades long love affair with House Music. Something that many have probably never had any idea of concerning Easy Mo Bee.
Shouts to my earliest House DJ influences on New York radio, the legendary Tony Humphries & Timmy Regisford who sparked the flame a long time ago inside of me and taught me what good House Music was supposed to sound like and how it should be mixed. A special thank you also to DJ EMan (Liberate Recordings) for encouraging me to shine with ALL of my colors and not just the Hip Hop ones. Consequently, here and there, we spin together as THE E-MEN (EMan & Easy Mo Bee).
DJ Daniela, the beauty behind the beats, known for her thoughtful blends of new and classic hip-hop, house, soul, and R&B, has been a major player in the Bay Area hip-hop and soulful house scenes before moving to NYC. She held down residencies at legendary San Francisco parties including: Remedy and Soul Café and is one of the co-founders of the Oakland's original underground house music party Brothers and Sisters. Since her arrival in Brooklyn in 2008, she's earned her graduate degree in Urban Policy and currently works as an administrator with CUNY in support of first generation community college students. She continues to make heads nod on the NYC music scene hosting a series of underground "Let's Play House" parties and djing premier lounge events.
When asked twenty years ago by his parents "what are you gonna do out there in San Francisco", New York Native Wisdom confidently replied, "Deejay!" Now twenty years later in 2012, DJ Wisdom's career has taken him to places as far away as Europe and all over the United States and Canada. This list of parties he's played at nationally and internationally have included Cafe Moscow in Berlin, Germany, The Fillmore West, in San Francisco, CA, and The Basement, in Ontario, Canada. Wisdom has been the founder and resident at numerous parties throughout San Francisco's golden era of the 1990's and early 2000's, such as Funkside (Club Deco), Blend (Storyville), and Casa (Madrone). These parties are representative of the diverse types of of music DJ Wisdom blends (brings into the mix?), as varied as hip hop, soul, latin, caribbean, and international. This multifaceted appeal grew its roots in the early years in San Fran when, in 1993, DJ Wisdom, along with J-Boogie and Raw-B, created Beatsauce hip hop radio show on KUSF, a groundbreaking show that ran for 15 years. During those programs, DJ Wisdom interviewed such musical legends as Afrika Bambata, Guru, Common, and Jay-Z. Currently living in New York with his family, with residencies throughout NYC and upstate,....
Intent on defending the blend, Concerned navigates the waters where Funk, Soul, Reggae, Latin, Afro-beat and Hip Hop intersect. He is a fan-favorite and a darling of the social scene. His versatility makes him the rare DJ recruited by live bands of all genres. Concerned is trusted to set the vibe for any audience, customized to the style of the particular band. If you haven’t had a chance to party with DJ Concerned, do something about it…
