With their incredible production level, a unique live PA recognized as one of the most energetic to be seen, an unstoppable way to innovate in several styles of bass music and a "best newcomers producers" award under their belt, Dirtyphonics is with no doubt one of the most exciting bands in today's electronic scene.
"If you've seen these five French originators live, you have witnessed the future of live drum & bass performance that leaves competitors in the dust."
Charly, Thomas, Pho and Pitchin started touring the world in 2006 with their incomparable live act, combining the efficiency of a DJ set to the spirit and energy of a rock concert.
In 2008, the band takes a new scope when "French Fuck" gets signed to Shimon's label (AudioPorn). After its release, the 12" climbs the charts to reach the first place and stays number one for a couple of weeks, bringing them immediatly at the forefront of the scene.
"In this day and age and with how far we've come with music, it's hard to do something new and that's exactly what they'd done right from the start."
Quickly after, comes out a series of 12"s, reaching systematically the top 10 charts:
"Quarks", "The Secret", "Vandals", "Lottery", "Teleportation", "Tarantino", "Oakwood" show the band's versatility and production quality. All those tracks got heavy support from the world's most famous DJs of the electronic music scene: Pete Tong, Steve Aoki, Skrillex, Rusko, Benga, Datsik, Flux Pavillion, Doctor P, Zane Lowe, Annie Mac, Kissy Sell Out, Annie Nightingale, Andy C, Chase & Status, Subfocus, Pendulum…
All at the same time, the band keeps to intensively tour the world from trendy clubs to the biggest festivals (Electric Daisy Carnival, Glastonbury, Monegros, SXSW, Dour, Plages Electroniques, Solidays, Starscape, Les Nuits Zebrees, Beatpatrol, Audioriver, Together As One, Nordik Impact, Arena, Government, Metrocity, Brixton Academy, Pirate Station, Beyond Wonderland, Big Chill, Global Gathering…) and in the summer 2010, moved to Los Angeles for their acclaimed "French Do It Better" tour around the USA and Canada.
Since then, the band has been asked to remix tracks for big names such as Benny Benassi, Skrillex, Does It Offend You, Yeah?, Crystal Method, Nero, The Bloody Beetroots… and appears on labels such as Warner, Ultra, MTA, Virgin, Ram Records or Dim Mak.
"Parisian crew Dirtyphonics are bucking the trend with a tranche of heavyweight music and an incendiary live show."
Back from their acclaimed world wild tour which took them around Europe, America, Asia, and Oceania over 4 months, the future looks bright and busy both on the road and in the studio as the band is putting the final touches on genre defying music for their debut album.
"Dirtyphonics have in the past year created some of the most boundary pushing, genre hopping records in dance music"
Le Castle Vania
Atlanta based and internationally known, Le Castle Vania, commonly known as Dylan Eiland, quickly escaped the local trappings of his hometown in Georgia to play music around the world. Atlanta's burgeoning music scene allowed him to develop his passion for music and nightlife, and he soon gained notoriety with his riotous DJ sets and penchant for production, which made him a household name in the dirty and distorted, indie-electro scene.
Since the summer of 2006, Le Castle Vania has toured nonstop, taking his catchy electro dance beats on the road. He blurs the lines between cultures and cliques, from Mexico City to London Town, with his own signatory sound. He has DJed along side some of today's hottest acts, such as Justice, MSTRKRFT, Simian Mobile Disco, Busy P, Uffie & Feadz, Kavinsky, Soulwax, Surkin, Para One, The Presets, Steve Aoki and Crystal Castles. However, Dylan prides himself on more than simply pushing vinyl for the masses. He's also an avid producer and engineer; when not on the road he's locked in the studio writing tracks from scratch and remixing his favorite bands. The attention he received from his remix of "Black Eyes" by Indie darlings Snowden (Jade Tree Records), quickly put Dylan on the map, the track continues to rock dance floors worldwide.
His signature sound blends grinding disco punk with strong electronic beats and catchy synth leads, resulting in banging electro music that is dark and dirty but somehow equally uplifting and dancey. New mixes to check out include Tigertron, an original work off of his first non-remix release, "Troubletron EP," and remixes of "Come Out" for 120 days (Vice Records) and "Bombs" for Scanners (Dim Mak Records), which have all received critical appraisal from the indie electro world.
URB Magazine included Le Castle Vania in their Next 100 for 2008, NYLON and Jane Magazine absolutely demand he play at their events. Fader, Flavorpill and BigStereo have all "raved" about his remixes.
His most recent creative endeavor is one part musical production, one part DJ performance, one part Blake Miller of Moving Units/Weird Science notoriety, and numerous parts of innovation…namely Lies In Disguise. After finding a home at So Sweet Records and cranking out some original tracks and remixes for Partyshank and Toxic Avenger, these two have gained notoriety as the up-and-comers to keep your eye on. They are currently working on remixes for Shinichi Osawa and Late of the Pier and are gearing up for a DJ tour to Mexico and Europe.
LA native born and raised producer ETC!ETC! may have spent most of his studio life on the Electro House point, but his transition to Moombahton productions are what have been commanding the most attention from top-notch tastemakers around the globe as of late.
ETC!ETC! gravitates his aural attention onto anything that moves the room. First attracted to Electro house for the big bass and floor-shattering fast-paced BPM, ETC!ETC! started to shift his focus to moombahton in early 2011 and starting to make an impact in the scene almost immediately .
In just the past 12 months he has been played almost on a weekly rotation on BBC Radio 1 by Kissy Sell out & DJ Kapyer ,and the following keeps Growing.
With an eclectic mix of different audio flavors coming out of his arsenal it's no wonder ETC!ETC! has garnered a diverse array of highly-prestigious support from EDM leaders Wolfgang Gartner, AC Slater, Congorock, 12th Planet x Skrillex, Mstrkrft , Dillon Francis, Diplo , Bro Safari & many others.
With multiple forthcoming releases on Mad Decent, Teenage Riot Records ,Party Like US, Rot10 Musik and T&A , 2012 will be a big year for ETC!ETC!
