Svetlana & The Delancey Five

From premier NYC jazz clubs to the underground world of NYC subway and secret speakeasy parties, Svetlana & The Delancey Five is a "very sweet & naughty" (Jazzlives), "energetic" (Wall Street Journal), "delightful" (WRHU Jazz Radio), and cinematically handsome Golden Age-inspired sextet. Rocking hard swinging 20s-40s jazz standards as well as charismatic originals, and featuring Svetlana's sultry "made for jazz" (streetcredmusic) vocals backed by the band members' inspired harmonizing and virtuoso instrumentals - their tunes are so infectious, they'll sweep you off your feet and steal your heart away!"

DeeJay Spinach

Born in Siberia and spent most of my childhood in Moldova I was exposed to a variety of folk and ethnic music. I always thoroughly enjoyed playing with my stereo and drumming to the rhythms using house chairs. Music always fascinated me as a tool of transformation into a different reality. I began my deejay carrier playing tunes at the house parties and continue to do so till today. Many friends had asked me to play at their birthdays and weddings, and with great success and much love I did it. I organized dozens of concerts and parties in NYC. My music interests vary from Ska, Reggae and Rocksteady to Surf and Psychobilly, from Swing and Twist to Polka and Gypsy pop. I love setting the dance floor on fire using my unique mixture of world rhythms. I’ve been recently doing mostly theme parties on bi-monthly basis called “Swingin’ Penguin” electro swing party, and a yearly “Starinnije chasi” 80′s Soviet pop party, otherwise I participate in numerous events and play weekly in different spots around NYC.
“The music is the key!”
