Pato Banton, Mike Pinto

To Pato Banton, music seems to be more of a spiritual journey than a just a musical destination. To sit and spend even a moment in the presence of this powerful man's music is what many Pato-ites have considered to be life saving. Which should make him happy since he has stated that his main quest is to bring positivity to the masses. This is what he seems to have done.

Pato's story is one of change and rebirth. Pato went from being a 9 year old "lookout" at illegal parties for his father to being honored at the Reggae Hall Of Fame, the BBC's Lifetime Achievement Award as well as many other honorable achievements for his acts of altruism in the world. Pato gives the gift of music and lyrical genius to his fans, as well as a prayer circle after his show where fans get the opportunity to share stories of their lives and how Pato inspired them to "Stay Positive & Never Give In." Pato plays music, but the ripples set in motion from the message of his music is strong enough to change lives

Mike Pinto has crafted an exceptional style of songwriting, with a truly unique take on Roots, Vintage Rock, Reggae, Ska and Classic Surf, but it’s his distinct voice and seamless storytelling that has brought him success both in the States and overseas. With the release of his debut album (Little District, 2005), Pinto began his attack on the Philadelphia music scene as a solo artist. By 2006, underground success and a rabid growing fanbase allowed him to expand westward with two nationwide solo acoustic tours. After the second tour, Pinto decided to relocate to San Diego where he immersed himself in the thriving Southern California music scene and quickly gained a name.

Pinto’s music quickly traveled out of the continental States and can be found on Japanese compilations, on Hawaii's top radio stations by huge supporter and top radio personality Shaggy Jenkins as well as topping charts in Guam. As in Pinto fashion, the hype was followed up with tours where he sold out shows in Guam, Big Island, Maui and Oahu, creating even more buzz in the wakes.

In late 2007 Pinto teamed up with professional skateboarder and legendary Drummer/Producer Chuck Treece (Pearl Jam, G Love, Bad Brains, McRad) and released his most complete work to date. With Treece lending his knack for producing and playing a number of the instruments on the album, Pinto's self-titled album has sold tens of thousands of copies worldwide. The album gained so much attention that Pinto was urged to follow it up with an entirely acoustic version of which was released in 2008.

With a focus on creating community and delivering a live show reminiscent of Vintage Rock and Roll, there is no denying the impact Mike Pinto will have in 2010.

Natural Vibrations

Natural Vibrations, aka Natural Vibes or Natty Vibes, is Hawai'i's most popular and acclaimed band from the Windward side of O'ahu. They started out as a group of friends who loved playing music and went from playing backyard parties to headlining some of Hawai'is biggest shows and venues. Since 1996 they've recorded 6 full length albums featuring a sound with strong roots in reggae, rock and pop. Their unique musical blend combined with a party and dance energy has allowed them share the stage with artists like Prince, 311, Jimmy Cliff, Ziggy Marley, UB40, Jack Johnson, Pepper and SOJA, to name a few. The same sound and vibe that has earned them the respect of some of reggae's biggest names has also brought them multiple Best Reggae Album and People's Choice awards at the Hawaii Music Awards, as well as, Hawai'i's prestigous Na Hoku Hanohano Awards.

"Our biggest accomplishment is to after 15 years still be playing and producing music that is loved and anticipated by our fans."

Thats the driving force behind their current goal to relocate to the west coast, tour nationally and record new music. With the help of Polynesian Underground, Natural Vibrations will embark on new territory and new listeners.
Look for their newest single, "Make You Stay" to be released November 2012, and catch them at a show in your neighborhood.

Three Legged Fox

Three Legged Fox released Always Anyway in summer of 2011. Since then they have committed to bringing their live show and message to every city in the United States, including a current nine week Spring/Summer tour. An informal entry into national touring has afforded the band the opportunity to travel and play in many places they thus far have never been. Always Anyway marked a couple milestones for the band including a #2 chart spot on iTunes Reggae, and is the band's bestselling album to date. More importantly is the ability to play 150-200 shows this year. "We've gotten email, or fan mail…whatever you want to call it, from people for years from so many different places that we couldn't get ourselves to. And so to have the chance to do that now is really a blessing. Music is fan driven, it has to be. The fans that we have, their support and loyalty is never lost on us. We appreciate it tremendously," explains drummer Kory Kochersperger.

The band will record and release new music in 2012. An alternative to releasing an entire album, 3LF will put out a series of singles later this year.
