Just 5 guys from the burbs. Multiple felons, perhaps...but good people.
The difference between us old farts and those younger bands is they're into jerking off and we're into fucking
Harpooning, constructing credible alibis, Clubbing...cute cuddly baby harp seals, eating Girl Scout thin mint cookies, The All American Christian Youth Jamboree, soccer moms, that chick cop from SVU, and Kentucky Red Stag and Geritol bombs
Two Ton Anvil
TWO TON ANVIL is an ORIGINAL heavy metal band from the Chicago area.
Dark Star recording artist’s Two Ton Anvil is lead and fronted by vocalist/guitarist founding member Reed McCallister. Reed formed TWO TON ANVIL in summer of 2008. With talent and endless creativity to deliver, the Two Ton Anvil project is some of the heaviest and marketable music that Reed has ever created. Reed completed his vision by adding bassist Glenn Christon and guitarist Steve LaRocca. Combining several metal genres like mid tempo heavy groove with some fast metal there’s no question that tunes like "Victims," "Ballbreaker," and "Loyalty" are catchy tunes that keep you coming back for more. Maybe you want the speed of "Glass Houses" & "Murder Cage" or the melodies of "Still Afraid" & "You're Daze." Whatever type of metal you're looking for; these guys seem to have it.
The big production of Two Ton Anvil's material proves there is no lack of engineering and production expertise on this project. The band has a meaty mind crushing sound with huge vocals and catchy melodies that are guaranteed to hold your attention and thump through your speakers while tapping your feet and banging your head! The band has consistently held multiple spots in the top ten lists of various websites claiming the 1 spot in several categories. World released on www.indiestop10.com as featured artists in an interview with host Mike Cameo. Listen to how many months 2008-2012 that TWO TON ANVIL has been showcased on Indies Top 10 podcasts and over 2 dozen internet sites on the World Wide Web.
Not only has Two Ton Anvil been slowly making a name for themselves in local Chicago music scene but also have shared the stage with national acts such as Five Finger Death Punch, Bury your Dead, In this Moment, Another Black Day, Kittie, Dirge Within, Texas Hippie Coalition, etc. With the debut self titled CD in stores now and the second CD to be released 9/11/2012 the band has enjoyed success on their first world television premiered video "Corruption" also releasing the "Corruption" single on national radio airwaves - Two Ton Anvil’s gearing up for a full out touring schedule with coast to coast scheduling in the works. With Dark Star Records behind the group good things are certain to happen for this hard working group of dedicated musicians. It is only a matter of time before these metal maniacs start "taking over" from city to city and making an even bigger name for themselves.
Get ready for the Two Ton Anvil. You will not be disappointed.
Pure Indiana metal that attacks your senses and embraces the origins of metal while manipulating multiple newer influences.
Deadlite Redemption is a five-piece Metal band from La Porte, Indiana.
In June 2011 former "Bitter Rise" front man Topher Faulkner knew it was time to start a project that could thrash but still groove.
Little did he know two other musicians were thinking the same thing across town: Guitarist Victor Aourello and former “As the Seasons Grey” Bassist Bryan Harris. It wasn’t long before the three crossed paths and started bouncing guitar riffs around. Suddenly, by the hands of fate itself, Guitarist Michael Wilson and former “From Shadows Wake” Drummer, Jake Shelton came on board to take the sound to a whole new level.
Deadlite Redemption was born.
WHERE DID THE BAND NAME COME FROM?
After the human body dies, the brain stays functioning for a few moments after the heart stops and the science of death begins, causing the illusion of a pure bright light at the end of a long tunnel.
This phenomenon is known as Deadlite. It is the final thing we all experience in life.
The definition of “Redemption” is: a thing that saves someone from error or evil.
At the time the band formed, each of us had been struggling with thoughts that working a “real job” wasn’t what we were put here for.
We were alive by definition but it didn’t feel like it. It was as if staring into the deadlite while still living. Three parts dead, wondering: “Is this all there is for me in this life? Is this it?”
After the first practice we knew our purpose on earth was to thrash and fuel mosh pits across the world. If we hadn’t taken that first step, we’d be wasting away in jobs that we just weren’t built for instead of passionately chasing our dreams and doing what we love. This band saved us from error and evil thus proving to be our redemption. “Deadlite Redemption” just felt right.
WHAT HAS THE BAND BEEN UP TO?
Well, it’s still really early in the project but we’ve been staying busy. In our first year we've had the pleasure to open for multiple national bands including Soil, Pop Evil, Prong, Eye Empire, Bobaflex, Slaves On Dope, Mushroomhead, Drowning Pool, James Durbin, Straight Line Stitch, HED pe, Otherwise, Gone For Days, Dead By Wednesday, Defiler and many others. We are currently preparing to record our first full-length album through the winter of 2012-2013 and hope to get on tour immediately following the album's release.
Building a web store has been a lot of work but it has been fun creating all our new artwork and merchandise designs. We already have over 20 killer designs to launch our clothing and apparel line. Most importantly, we’ve been writing songs. We can’t wait for you to hear each of them. They are brutal! All mosh pit killers are welcome to come and destroy as we travel to venues throughout the MIdwest and beyond.
WHO ARE THE BANDS INFLUENCES?
Each of us has our own different, unique style that when combined is very diverse and intense. We’ve been hard at work writing all original material that takes its influences from bands such as Pantera, Alice in Chains, Deftones, Between the Buried and Me, Slipknot, Testament, Slayer, Machine Head, Acid Bath, Down, Corrosion of Conformity, and many others. Get your boots on; it’s stomping time!
WHAT CAN WE EXPECT IN THE FUTURE?
Well... That depends. If you’re in the mosh pit you can expect to kick ass and destroy! But also you can expect a DVD of our writing and recording process to be released as a documentary someday, not to mention, since so much crazy shit has already happened to us on the road, we thought it would be funny to make an animated cartoon of D.R. based on actual events.
…And you can probably bet on a few injuries as the legions of mosh pit killers level shit to dust and rubble! We are where we are because of all of you...our fans...and we will continue onward unstoppably!
