Far East Side
Rejecting the gluttony of the 80s, the self-awareness of the 90s, and the passing fads of today, Far East Side looks to the future through the eyes of the past proving that time is merely a social construct.
The Hawk Owls
The Hawk Owls formed in Sussex County, NJ in 2011. Their songlist includes a variety of harmony driven originals, melody focused instrumentals, lyric based traditionals and reinterpreted classics. Their vocal harmonies are a sweet addition to their smooth acoustic sound.
Samantha is Brooklyn based trash pop trio with a penchant for loud guitars and harmony. The band relocated from Chicago about a year ago and has since shared the stage with bands like Dead Stars, White Mystery and Unlocking the Truth. They’ve played all over NYC including Cameo, Santos Party House and the Trash Bar and have hit SXSW three times, with plans to return next year. Their new album “Hourglass Noise” was just released this spring. “We were going for a Kim Deal, Kurt Cobain and R2D2 on a road trip kind of thing. Not sure we ended up there, but the record is awesome.”
Fish House Road
Fish House Road is that rare band that comes along every so often; a band that shatters the mold and defies definition. Their infectious blend of R&B, Funk, Jam, Rock, Reggae and Improvisational creates a soundscape that demands people get up and dance. The band is lead by Nick DeBlasio on lead vocals and electric ukulele, with Rocky Tironi on guitar, Mike Bernabei on guitar, Kayne Neugebauer on bass, Rusty Van Leer on the drums, and Steven Paul on sax . Since their inception in 2011, they’ve already made a huge mark on the industry, opening for such bands as: Trigger Hippy, Jefferson Starship, Rusted Root, Boom Box,Yarn, The London Souls, and The Slide Brothers. They have also performed alongside many other big names at festivals throughout the Northeast. In addition, their song "Dragonfly" was featured in the September 2013 issue of Relix Magazine in their "On the Rise" section. Their new EP Run Free is now available on iTunes and Bandcamp.
