Funtcase, Cookie Monsta

FuntCase aka James Hazell is a producer and DJ from Bournemouth, UK. He is known for his raw and dirty sound, forging the way with his controversial 'filthy' style of dubstep. "FuntCase produces sensory overload dubstep that wobbles, womps and machine guns through your body, making you dance whether you want to or not."

James first expressed his love of music through jamming with his schoolmates, taking his energetic and aggressive drumming style from death metal as well as being heavily influenced by happy hardcore and jungle, growing up to a background of Helter Skelter and Dreamscape mixtapes.

Along came Music 2000 and James discovered the world of electronic sound, before an introduction to Reason opened up his eyes to a whole new world of music production beyond pre-made loops.

After hearing 'Bandwagon Blues' by Twisted Individual, James fell in love with the drum and bass sound and began to focus his talents on producing. Sharing his tracks with D&B radio stations led to the first recognition of his foot-thumping talents, and a first digital release 'Unleash' on Hammer Records followed in 2007, under the alias DJ Dose. He started working with Sensa and Jayline, with several more releases following, and James began to DJ to promote his own sounds.

In 2009 James began to dabble with producing dubstep, giving his tunes a big energy by incorporating the drum and bass layering technique into his dubstep sound. His first track 'Make Our Day' was quickly signed to 4:20 Records. And so began the raw sound that is 'FuntCase'.

It wasn't long before FuntCase began trading tracks with Doctor P, and an offer soon followed to bring James into the Circus Records camp with the release of his famed track 'So Vexed', with 'Mattress Punch' on the flip, in 2010.

Releases rapidly followed including 'Gorilla Flex VIP' on GetDarker's Compilation 'Pure Dubstep', 'Fuuuuk!' on Dubsaw Recordings, and remixes for Ali Love and Marco Del Horno, the latter featuring on the Ministry of Sound's compilation CD 'The Sound Of Dubstep 2'.

With support from some of the biggest artists in the scene, the future looks bright for FuntCase. Highly sought after for his high energy sound DJ sets, and as a recognised member of the Circus Records crew, FuntCase now travels the globe promoting the dark side of dubstep, working hard, playing hard, travelling hard - doing his thing!

Drumaddic is the musical alias of Gerry Westby, who has been DJing under the name since 2001. His massive DJ sets and turntablist skills have earned him a strong fan base in the Midwest and have also caught the attention of many well-known artists over the years. In 2005, he and Agent K combined forces to produce "Start the Panic!" on Afterdark Records. That same year, his own label Subkulture Records released the DJ mix "Fear", which met with critical acclaim from fans.

The Subkulture label was named after the infamous record store which Drumaddic founded in Tulsa. Built from the ground up for DJs and fans of dance music, the store specialized in breakbeat, drum & bass, and house music. The store was known throughout the midwest for having one of the best selections of quality music and rare tracks. Subkulture finally closed its doors in 2007 due to declining sales in the vinyl market, but its contribution to the music scene in Tulsa lives on to this day.

Drumaddic has recently begun production on his own original tracks and remixes, as well as collaborating with numerous artists for both production and to provide scratch samples. In addition to his performances and production, he has plans to offer his experience to the new generation of DJs. Beginning in 2012, his Subkulture DJ Academy will offer education on all aspects of DJing from beginner to advanced. This will be a very exciting year for this dance music veteran and it looks like the best is yet to come!

A DJ/ Producer from Tulsa, OK currently on the brink of releasing his first solo original album entitled "No Tomorrow" which is slated to be released end of Summer 2014. His music is a dynamic mix of melodic meat of the song, and dirty filthy drops.
