Big Gigantic is the brainchild of Boulder, Colorado's own saxophonist/producer, Dominic Lalli, and drummer, Jeremy Salken. Conceived in 2008, the duo found their niche and created a name for themselves in the electronic music scene. By combining vibrant jazz melodies over pulsating dance beats, Big Gigantic delivers an innovative, distinct sound that's all their own.
As a testament to their timeliness and unique melody, Big Gigantic has made a profound impact on the jamtronica landscape. From playing modest gigs around Colorado, to instantaneously headlining shows throughout the country and hitting major festivals, Big Gigantic showcases an amplified array of compositions that combine elements of a DJ and live band that leaves fans from coast to coast anticipating more.
Between the band's debut album, Fire It Up, and their EP, Wide Awake, Big Gigantic has had over 70,000 downloads to date. With their highly anticipated sophomore album, A Place Behind the Moon, debuting September 2010 on 1320 Records, the two-man sound machine continue to magnify their reach and reputation with a future that shows no signs of slowing down.
A true pioneer and master of musical expression, GriZ (Grant Kwiecinski) stands head-and-shoulders above the competition in terms of the sheer variety of his ever-evolving technical prowess. A tremendously passionate and soulful producer, GriZ has a peerless knack for creating profoundly engaging melodies to offset the presence of his phenomenally designed bass. Where many artists become mired in a over-simplified and standardized method of production for the sake of creative efficiency; GriZ has no qualms sacrificing speed for the sake of quality, technical diversity, and an unrelenting devotion to progress and dynamism. Beginning his saga as a producer at the young age of fourteen, it is immediately evident that his talent and devotion will lead him on a journey of exceptional musical diversity and exploration. From funky rhythms to jazzy melodic embellishment, GriZ effortlessly incorporates his instrumental zeal for the saxophone with his lifelong dedication to soulful, laser-infused beat-making. This is only the beginning for Grant, and already the stylistic range of his material is both inspirational and utterly awe-inspiring.
Hayden Kramer, known as HeRobust, is an Atlanta based producer that has been blending genres ever since he emerged onto the electronic music scene in early 2011. HeRobust's debut EP, Albumin, was released on Saturate Records in February of 2011 and was quickly recognized by industry leaders such as XLR8R, Mad Decent, Vice, and Jay Scarlet of Beat Dimensions. Soon after, heRobust found himself shared the stage with the likes of Flying Lotus, Daddy Kev, Gaslamp Killer, Salva, NiTGrit, Shlohmo, Shigeto and many more. February of 2012 marked Hayden's second release, the Late Night / Morning After double album.
