What happens if you mix two Hollyfelds, two Railbenders and a Sunday Girl?
You get The Jekylls, a new 60’s style pop group from Denver.
Formed the summer of 2011, The Jekylls have been making quite an impression on the Denver music scene. The Jekylls feature Eryn Hoerig on lead vocals and tenor guitar, Tony Asnicar on lead guitar, Graham Haworth on drums, Keith Hoerig on bass, & Jody Rodney on backing vocals & various.
The Jekylls have opened for illustrious Colorado acts like the Railbenders and The Hollyfelds, as well as shared bills with Mama Lenny and The Remedy, New Ben Franklins, Sunday Girl, Vibes on Velvet, The Patti Fiasco, Kentucky Parlour Pickers and many other fabulous bands.
The Jekylls released their debut full-length album The Sweet Factory (recorded & mixed by Gary Flori at Sound Stream Studios in Arvada, CO, & mastered by Masaki at One Way Studios)
April 20th, 2012.
Faking the Dream
Faking the Dream is the greatest sing-a-long band in the universe. If you aren't singing along then we are just another crappy cover band.
The Cowboys ride tonight! Based in Denver, Saturn Cowboys lasso up their own brand of dark, otherworldly indie rock with a twist of western twang. With songs inspired by outer space, the old west, and mind numbing experiences, Danny Aranow (guitar, vocals), Andrew Aranow (drums, keys), and Rich Goldberg (bass, keys), bring an incredible amount of stellar energy to the stage.
Saturn Cowboys formed in Denver in late 2010 and almost immediately found themselves with an overflow of songs to prepare for the stage and studio. Combining classic and psychedelic rock with alternative country, the Cowboys' music presents itself as an array of transitions and styles. The unifying presence is lead vocalist Danny's resonant baritone voice and characteristic, precise Telecaster-work. Combined with the rock solid drums and often jazz-colored basslines of the rhythm section, the result is an always cohesive sound that leaves a visual imprint on the listener.
Since their formation, the Cowboys have shared the stage with touring and local bands at several of Denver's more esteemed clubs, such as Hi-Dive, Larimer Lounge, Herman's Hideaway and Mercury Cafe. On stage, the band confidently delivers all of the atmosphere and depth of their songs while, even in a crowded, sweaty room, maintaining the feeling of hanging out at your favorite haunt with some buddies, sipping on whiskey.
Saturn Cowboys are currently finishing up recording their debut album at their studio, the Ghosthouse, in Denver. It is slated for release in summer of 2011.
See you at the space rodeo...giddy up!
