Ella Berkeley is a smart and sophisticated twenty one-year-old singer-songwriter, whose music is a combination of classic soul, R&B, and rock/pop. As a young teen, Ella began her singing and songwriting in clubs, coffee houses, and restaurants. More recently she has been hired to do studio work, and has also opened several sporting events with faithful and beautiful renditions of “The Star Spangled Banner.†A consummate performer, she has a heartfelt command of music and a comfort level in front of an audience that is rare. Her emotional and rich performances can be mesmerizing. In 2009 Ella Berkeley captured her gutsy soulfulness in the self-titled debut EP release, "Ella Berkeley."
In this freshman effort, Ms. Berkeley recorded three original tunes, accompanied by Doug Derryberry on guitar, Kenny Lucas on bass, Jeff Neuberger on drums and Ed Martinez on keyboards. Arrangement credit goes to Ed Martinez; the CD was produced and recorded by Jon Altschiller at the renowned ChillerSound studio in Manhattan. In 2011 she hit the studio again, this time to record four new songs with producer Tony Collucio. Berkeley also got selected to play one of the starring roles in a musical TV Pilot- Filming now. A college student, Ella Berkeley continues to make a name for herself with her rich interpretations of classic and original tunes, and has plans to release her new CD in 2013. With rich soulful chops, this young woman with an extremely powerful voice is going places.
Kenny Truhn & Friends
Kenny Truhn began his musical journey begging to play the bass for his friends band to jumping on vocals and writing lyrics and melodies. Kenny joined the Institute of Audio Research in NY to expand his music knowledge and become a one stop shop for songwriting, producing, engineering, recording, and mixing. During his stay at IAR Kenny landed an artist development deal for Capitol Records with rock band Phase 9.
Since then, Kenny has been making all types of music and has been growing and expanding his eclectic track record. His efforts after college included fronting the bands DOME (Soul/Funk/Rock) and The Captive (Melodic/Metal/Hardcore).
Kenny recently released his debut solo album "No Longer Scared" which is a personal and emotional display of his struggle to get the world to hear his talent. Kenny wrote, sang and played every part for the entire album, a testament to his musical knowledge and ability.
