For fans of: PJ Harvey, Patti Smith, & Velvet Underground.

Arum Rae, formally by the name White Dress, is a modern day siren. Her rock and blues influenced melodies lure the audience into a trance. As she plays, the room falls silent except for her sultry voice and electric guitar. While comparisons to PJ Harvey and Patti Smith may abound, Arum Rae accomplishes a wider range of sound and feel with a minimal cast of musicians, a drummer and bassist, but often playing alone. Less is more with Rae.

Musically infused by Patsy Cline and Leonard Cohen, as much as by Bach and Hank Williams, she's able to concoct a soul & dance revival, which delicately plays all over the full sonic spectrum.

Arum Rae has worked with everyone from the Black Keys, Peter Bjorn & John, Gary Clark Jr., and The Civil Wars, but she is now primed to take command of her own destiny. Having co-wrote the song "If I Didn't Know Better," with John Paul White, of The Civil Wars, that got picked up by the ABC TV Show "Nashville" and quickly climbed the Country charts, Arum continues to follow her passion. As Sean Moeller from Daytrotter Live so succinctly states about Arum Rae, "this is the scene of the mental bloodbath. She wins. Rae sings, "He doesn't want me/He's just in it for the kill," cutting a line that smokes out of the speaker, along with the kind of kick ass garage-rock blues that Jack White would drop a jaw around."

"This album is positive from start to finish. The music is upbeat and cheerful while also thought-provoking. There is so much to it that you don’t hear in today’s mainstream. The substance most pop artists today seem to lack can be found here. It is hard to find the kind of raw talent that Driver possesses. He keeps it simple. No effects, just a clean sounding voice. It is refreshing and rare."-Sue Hardee, Raleigh Music

"A better comparison might be Eric Hutchinson, Matt Nathanson or any of the other solid songwriter –sons, though Driver’s songwriting displays a more refined sensibility than either."
— Ryan Synder, Yes! Weekly Magazine

"Highlight tracks include, “Logged In”, “Young & Beautiful”, “Without Love Poster”, “Worshipped by the Energy”, “Gardens”, and “Sidelines.” As you can see my list of favorites is over half of the album’s tracks, need I say anything more? Purchase- ‘Warm Is Your Color!’"
— C W Ross, CWROSS

"Driver’s voice reminds me of Maroon 5’s lead singer Adam Levine, and is guaranteed to make you melt.— Sue Hardee, Raleighmusic.com
"Warm Is Your Color effectively puts the emphasis on his strengths as a lively vocalist with a knack for simple, yet engaging guitar melodies. "
— Ryan Synder, Yes! Weekly

"I love promoting good people who make great music and every once in a while I come across a CD that is so good that I have to share it with folks. Such is the case with Nick Driver's CD entitled "A Kinda Love This World Could Never Burn". Nick's CD is full of positive lyrics and good beats, this one is worth taking a listen - great vocals and harmonies. It will brighten any day. You'll be singing to this one in your car." -Diogenes, 919 Music Pick
"Since going solo with his original acoustic music, this young artist has attracted quite a bit of attention, including being selected as a finalist for the 2011 John Lennon International Songwriting Contest for his song Spare Me Some Change" -A Neck Of The Woods

"Now lauded for his Americana, singer/songwriter feel, Driver’s recorded two records (2010's Warm is Your Color and 2011's A Kind of Love This World Could Never Burn) and toured the country sharing his music. This NC native is steady mastering the hustle." -Carrboro Citizen
