One of the most prolific and original groups in hip hop, the infamous Mobb Deep are still a very active force in today's music industry with twenty years of experience. The group has appeared on records that have sold over 40 million copies. Aiming from the Queensbridge neighborhood of NYC, the duo has been responsible for delivering some of the most popular and forever current anthems in rap music. . Tracks like "Survival Of The Fittest'" "Shook Ones Part II" and "Quiet Storm RMX" have remained significant and still move crowds from NY to Tokyo. Mobb Deep's ability to perfectly describe their gritty surroundings and lifestyle always made them a first choice for music writers and critics across the board. Mobb Deep have graduated to the role of cult group; today, they are followed by a new wave of cutting edge music listeners, as well as their original core foundation of hip hop aficionados.
The New York Times boasted: "No rap group — maybe no act in any genre — has gotten more mileage from straight talk than Mobb Deep."
Fall River, MA native, Nick Coury played venues & guitar since he was ten. It only was fittIng he made his way out to Los Angeles in 2005 where he started a band Seventh Sign Children. Their music was the beginnings of his Rock and Indie Hip Hop mash up. They played venues in LA until Nick moved to Chicago. It was there he began applying Blues to his music because of working for his heaviest influence, Buddy Guy, at the Original Legends. It was a game changer for the sound, because now the new genre he created became more rounded and soulful. Nick Coury is one of few, if not only, rapping guitar players who perform an entire show that way.
Nick Coury currently resides in Chicago, but travels around the US and has opened for Riff Raff, Lil Debbie, Problem & Dollabillgates. His 2 albums, Alcohol, Cigarettes, & Ventriloquism (2009) & Clare Burito Says I'm Going to Hell.. (2012) display his use of rock influenced guitar & drums, with hip hop beats, alongside bluesy piano, guitar, & horns, partnering his rhymes & innovative lyrical content. He produces, writes, and plays all instruments on the albums. Discover a new style of music.
Charlie Buko (born Charles Coffey Buko) is an American recording artist, songwriter, record producer, actor and stylist.
He is CEO of recorded music for Hit-A-Lik Entertainment and has opened shows for Too $hort, Zion I, One Be Lo, DJ Quik, Twista, AZ and Cormega.
Early life and career
Born in Ann Arbor, Michigan the youngest son of American parents, Buko traveled the globe as a child. After living in Europe and Asia Buko temporarily settled in Las Vegas before returning to Ann Arbor in 1993. Once back in Michigan, Buko spent nearly every weekend at his grandmother's house in Detroit's Lincoln Park section as his pre-teen and adolescent years were riddled with behavioral problems. After moving out on his 18th birthday, Buko founded Hit-A-Lik Entertainment signing Dotoz and Young Frizz while creating music with Drew Money and Mikey Millions.
At 19 Buko moved to New York City in pursuit of rap music. Spotted at a Manhattan talent showcase in 2005 by K.D. Wilson (sister of Bryce Wilson - Czar Entertainment) Wilson arranged for Buko's first single "Runnin' Game" to be produced by Spot "Speez" Henchmen (King Day/Czar Entertainment).
In 2006 Buko moved to Purchase, NY to finish his B.A. in Media, Society & The Arts at The State University of New York. While at SUNY Buko created, produced, hosted and directed (the most popular program in the history of Purchase Television) The Charles Buko Show.
In 2007 Buko appeared on MTV's Total Request Live in a freestyle battle against Philadelphia rapper Tone Trump. Declared the winner by Cipha Sounds; youtube "fame" ensued.
In 2008 Buko demolished the competition in front of a 600 person crowd at Manhattanville College. The battle was judged by Boston MC Termanology. Buko became known for his freestyle ability and sardonic punchlines. He remains unbeaten during his professional career.
In 2009 Hit-A-Lik Vice President (and Chief Financial Officer) John O'Brien sponsored a collaborative album between Buko and Drew Money. Beginning work in Miami's South Beach studios - early 2009. The recordings created would become Buko's first original album release - The Charles Buko EP. The duo scored a minor radio hit with the single "Ride With A Pimp" and Buko also made waves with the street anthem "Trap Like Me", produced by Drew Money.
In 2010 Jack Appelt provided Garden City detectives with "accomplice testimony" incriminating Buko in a Cocaine transaction. Despite the case being a glaring and clear example of entrapment; Buko's legal cohorts (John O'Brien and Ron Eden) were either unwilling or too incompetent to represent him and he was subsequently incarcerated in Nassau County Jail. Since his incarceration Buko has been sober and focused solely on music. In 2012 Buko released the 4th mixtape (since his MTV-TRL appearance in 2006) #TrapIV - "The Memoir Of Carlos San Clamente"
The mixtape was unequivocally reviewed as Buko's best work. #TrapIV features (former) Roc-A-Fella super producer Just Blaze as well as American Idol's Erin Christine and is available now for free download at hitalik.com
If a revolver has 6 bullets…Aerias is the 7th one. Born and raised in Chicago, he’s the last spitter in Chicago Tribe. From battle hardened emcee to aggressively passionate punk, he’ll do anything to rock a show.
From live guitar solos to live acapellas and freestyles that are actually freestyles (cmon now). He’ll steal hearts to make em stronger and he’ll yell things others wouldn’t even think of whispering.
On his 2nd album, he wants to surpass his 1st album, “Running Blindfolded”, by being much much louder. Hungry, loud, random, spontaneous, weird, skilled, fiery and grinning at anything that doubts him, keep your ears and minds open and check the streets of the Chi, you’ll feel him sooner or later…
