Watch & Listen
Nine days is an American rock band from Long Island, New York. It was formed in 1994 by John Hampson and Brian Desveaux, and released three independent albums in the 1990s before their mainstream debut album, The Madding Crowd, released in 2000. The band scored a hit in the United States from the album The Madding Crowd, with the single "Absolutely (Story of a Girl)", which reached number one.
Since forming in 2005, the band recorded and gigged at a furious pace, releasing 2 underground demos and an EP in less than a year, creating a wave of goodwill the band rode straight through to the release of 2006's "Prison Wine", which earned them a spot on the Philadelphia City Paper's Year End Critic's Poll. They have since released a second album entitled "Bourbon Legend". In an August 2008 interview with Blogsnroses.com, editor Craig Wettner noted, "If you don't add [seeing the Tressels live] to your bucket list then you deserve to die because you are just missing out on too much in life".
