David Ford's new album 'Charge', released March 2013, is his 4th and follows the wide spread acclaim that has greeted his previous three releases; including having his first two albums both named as UK 'albums of the year' in The Sunday Times and Word Magazine.
Since quitting his successful UK band 'easyworld' to go DIY solo in 2005, Ford has managed to bring his unique and passionately memorable live show to the USA & Canada every year and consequently has built a devoted fan base from Edmonton to New Orleans.
nothing short of outstanding – New Jersey Shoreworld, May '12
unmissable…stuns the crowd into silence – The Guardian UK Oct '07
…greatest performance of the whole weekend – Toronto Star 'V Fest' Sept '06
The new album 'Charge' has been co-produced with James Brown who is more usually to be found engineering the recordings of artists like Foo Fighters and Kings of Leon. Brown's experience has brought a bigger, stronger and more American feel to Ford's sound and yet the album still features the usual trademarks of Ford's songs; self-reflection, anger at the cynicism of contemporary life, an unshakeable belief in the value of romance despite its fallibility and as ever, they are all delivered with the craft and soul of a rock based singer songwriter, rooted in both English pop melody and the great American art of popular song.
Hailing from Miami Beach, FL, 24 Year Old Rachel Goodrich has been playing music and writing songs since age 12.
She explores a variety of sounds, playing everything from the guitar to the ukulele, piano, kazoo, banjo, and autoharp.
Creating this unique and exciting style, Rachel draws on some of her influences which include Joni Mitchell, The Grateful Dead, Tiny Tim, Dr. Seuss, The Lovin’ Spoonful, Bob Dylan & The Band, and so many more.
With an eclectic live show featuring a growing collection of band members and toys, Rachel has carved out her own genre she calls “shake-a-billy.”
