R_Garcia (Randy Garcia) is a modern composer, producer and multi-instrumental performer. Currently based in Atlanta, GA, Garcia heads the seminal Nophi Recordings, as well as the annual Nophest Summer Music Festival. Known primarily for his involvement in the genesis of the American IDM (Intelligent Dance Music) movement, R_Garcia has long employed a punk rock ethic in his musical endeavors, often eschewing traditional industry practices in favor of a Do it Yourself philosophy. Additionally, Garcia’s seemingly endless quest to destroy the notion of genre in music serves as the platform for his constant reinvention.

His most recent projects include writing and producing for Grammy winner Kevin Max, sharing stage and album appearances with Adrian Belew (King Crimson/Talking Heads/David Bowie), and writing and producing music for the British Alternative/Industrial Band, Pop Will Eat Itself. Additionally his guitar, drum, and synthesizer work can be heard on Sony Software’s Evolver Sample/Loop CD. His most recent album, Resurgens has garnered critical praise while representing a bold and dramatic step forward in both songwriting and performance.
