The Whiskey Gentry
Paste Magazine was dead-on when they called The Whiskey Gentry a "toe-tapping, steamrolling kind of band, its fingers picking deep into fields of bluegrass, feet stomping
in line with a punk-inspired kick drum." Formed in 2009 by husband and wife duo Lauren Staley and Jason Morrow, The Whiskey Gentry is a group of seasoned veterans—to put
things mildly, some of the finest pickers and musicians the Southeast has to offer. A recent finalist in the Chris Austin Songwriting Competition held at MerleFest, Staley's
natural gifts with words and her powerful lead vocal abilities complement the band's edgy interpretation of an otherwise traditional sound. All of this, coupled with a commanding and high-energy live performance, sets the bar for the way today's country music ought to sound—honest, tight, daring, and void of pretension.
Sounds like Ryan Adams meets the Dixie Chicks meets Old Crow Medicine Show
"The Whiskey Gentry pluck 'n' twang with the best of them, Lauren Staley's stirring yet commanding vocals powering the songs to delirious heights, the musicians demonstrating exceptional instrumentalism." – Stomp and Stammer

Jacob Jones was born in Indiana, raised in Georgia, and has lived in Atlanta, New York City, and now Nashville, Tennessee. After studying philosophy and English Literature, Jacob soon dropped out of school and began traveling. It was these travels that led him to begin writing songs in earnest and co – founding Electric Western Records in 2009 in Nashville. His resulting debut Love and War was critically received in the spring of 2009 and his follow up, Bound for Glory, is an even broader American interpretation. Jones plans on touring throughout 2010 both nationally and internationally in support of his latest record, be on the look out for him wherever good Americana music is appreciated. He can be caught both as a solo act or with some of the revolving cast of fiddle, mandolin, banjo, up right bass, piano, and general good timery that follows his tours.
Keep On Movin! Dance Party
Famous in Nashville as simply “The Monday Night Dance Party,” KEEP ON MOVIN! is the wildly successful weekly rock and soul dance party presented by ELECTRIC WESTERN. Now in their fourth year, DJs JACOB JONES and RENO BO spin a hand-selected mix of the most dance-
able popular and obscure 50’s and 60’s Rock and Roll, Soul, old school R&B, Stax, Motown, Girl Groups, Doo Wop, Funk and Garage every Monday night.
Their slogan “Monday Is The New Friday” holds true each week as the masses converge upon the hip east Nashville neighborhood, pack into rock club The 5 Spot and ready themselves for an evening of dancing, drinking and fun. The drinks flow for hours and the sweat pours off the crowd. KEEP ON MOVIN! was named “The most stylish
party in America” in the April 2012 Style Bible issue of GQ Magazine.
College kids, baby boomers and everyone in between understand why this party is THE party in town. The rhythmic sounds of Otis Redding, Chuck Berry, Jerry Lee Lewis, the Temptations, Aretha Franklin, Sly and the Family Stone, Buddy Holly, Sam Cooke, James Brown and more keep the crowds in dance hall bliss while the evening’s pied pipers Jones and Bo instigate and officiate the festivities. Guest DJs have included Dan Auerbach (The Black Keys), Brendan Benson, Diane Birch, Eli “Paperboy” Reed and Greg Cartwright (Reigning Sound, Oblivians). Local and national celebrities like Ke$ha, Jared Followill (Kings Of Leon), Jack Lawrence (The Raconteurs), James Iha (Smashing Pumpkins) Taylor Hanson (Hanson), Adam Schlesinger (Fountains Of Wayne), Mat Kearney and legendary tailor and suit-maker to the stars Manuel have shown up to find out what all the fuss is about.
