Formed in early 2012 and based out of Hartford CT, Luli and the Innocents is a Rock/Blues/Indie band that is on the rise. Comprised of five members: Andrea "Drea" Strunk from Seattle WA, Travis Salad, Nick Powell, Brian Quagan and Chris Brown, all of whom come from Northern CT. Over the years, each one of them have been playing music in various projects. After finally settling into this killer lineup, they are looking to make 2012 a very busy year. In April of 2012, they came in first place in radio 104.1's Talent Warz competition which has gained them widespread attention. Shortly after, they released their first studio EP "Car Tunes on July 14th 2012. This quickly caught local radio stations attention such as New Haven's 99.1, Hartford's 104.1, and college stations around the country. The band was also showcased for a RAW Hartford event in July 2012. A showcase involving the best artists and musicians in the state. In lieu of this, Luli and the Innocents have recently been nominated to become RAW's "Musician of the Year," in Hartford, CT. The band has had the great pleasure of opening for the national touring powerhouse Bronze Radio Return, well known for their latest record "Shake Shake Shake" which has been featured worldwide on commercials such as Home Depot and Nissan. As winter approaches, the band has begun the writing process for their new record to be released in Spring 2013. This record will not only showcase a cohesive sound, but also a lot of energy, soulful vocals, and pleasing harmonies which will all be reminiscent of a vintage and unique sound.
Colin Burke is an up and coming singer/songwriter and producer in central Connecticut. While a musician most of his life, Colin has exclusively been writing, recording, and producing all of his own records for over 5 years. In the broad spectrum it's an intricate, crafted mix of Acoustic music, Indie Rock, and Pop. Examined more closely, his writing expresses catchy yet sincere melodies. Emotional tones in his songs range from a popular sarcastic, lighthearted outlook on serious sitatuations, to pure positive sentiments. His latest endeavor, however, "Lionheart," touches on very wholesome, relatable topics: being afraid to express yourself in public, near death experience, honing your potential as a person, and subtle other references that become victims of your own judgment! With some songs featuring full instrumentation, and others down-tempo and acoustic, Colin Burke brings an ebb and flow of integritous interaction in the studio and with a live audience. During live shows, he has been known for dry, sarcastic remarks and brutally honest song backgrounds that leave the audience delightfully charmed. He currently performs acoustic throughout the CT/MA/NY tri-state area, and was recently nominated for RAW's Musician of the Year in Hartford, CT. Now at age 23, Colin is working on writing songs that you are sure never to forget.
The Self is an alternative rock band based in Hartford, CT. Formed in 2010 as a project between Matt Clapis (vocals, guitar) and his cousin Chris (drums). Completing the lineup with Alex Spencer (bass) and Xavier Lassiter (guitar, vocals), this incarnation recorded THE SELF EP in the summer of 2011. Adam Cyr and Craig Watts have since replaced Chris and Alex and the band is currently recording new material due out by the end of the world 2012.
