Washington, DC, 20009
This event is 21 and over
DC-based producer and DJ Nick Garcia is well versed in house music, having helmed the historic Yoshitoshi Recordings for three years. His love affair with synthesizers has landed his music on labels like Night Vision, Los Angeles Music Project, and Lifted Contingency. Nick's DJ sets are quirky and diverse, pulling from all manner of left-field sounds, and this eclecticism has earned him supporting slots for a variety of artists including Kornel Kovacs, Sophie, Jacques Greene, Kaytranada, and more.
with special guest Daniel Bell
While living in Detroit during the 90's, Daniel Bell created a new musical vocabulary for techno music based on "Blips" and "Bleeps" and streamlined repetetive rhythms. His music went on to influence a generation of producers from Josh Wink and Richie Hawtin to the minimal house sound in Germany.
Best known for his timeless classic "Losing Control" and releases on his label Accelerate.
