Guitarist Sid Fletcher and bassist Josh Weil they met while studying at the Guitar Institute of Technology; The two were then aware of the singer Todd Poole, and decided to form a band with the addition of drummer Scotty T. The Roxy Blue born in Memphis in 1990 by building a reputation around the area of Memphis. They were then discovered by frontman Warrant Jani Lane after the manager of Mötley Crüe Doug Thaler became interested in the band and brought him to a record contract with Geffen Records . Todd Poole joined the Hollywood Underground project in 1997 and appeared in the homonymous album.
