The Blue Jean Junkies

The Blue Jean Junkies are a Rock ‘n Roll band formed in December 1999.
Their first album was released in 2004. Since the release of the album and single, The Blue Jean Junkies have gone on to play at several hotels and major events including: The Hyatt Hotel, City of Dreams Casino, Dutdutan XV Tattoo Convention, The Craft Beer Festivals BrewFest MNL and Circuit BrewFest (BrewFestPH) plus have been invited to play in Boracay 4 times in a span of 8 months.
In late 2014, The Blue Jean Junkies emerged from a
year long hiatus with an appearance at the 3rd Annual
Philippine Jazz and Blues Guitar Festival. The band went on to play at the 2014 Harley- Davidson Bike Fest, The Smash It Up Tennis Festival and opened for the US based band Dishwalla in December.
They carried this momentum into 2015 with a series of shows at Alchemy Bistro Bar and a return to the Philippine International Jazz and Arts Festival, Fête de la Musique and by mid2015, they had completed their second album, “II”. The album was successfully launched in June and the first single off the album, "Fine Company" hit #1 on the radio and is now part of the Jam 88.3FM daily playlist. The music video for that single is now on regular rotation on MYX Philippines & MTV.

The band has been featured in a 6-page spread in Pulp Magazine’s October 2015 issue and FHM's June 2016 issue. They were interviewed on the morning news of CNN Philippines and were booked internationally to perform at the Hard Rock Cafe in Sentosa, Singapore for a special Seimens event as well as a show at the Blujazz Cafe, Bali Lane, Singapore. Then last Aug.16, 2018, frontman Nino Mendoza again appeared on CNN’s morning news program, “New Day” to promote the band’s current singles, “Fun House” and “Blue (feat. Julz Savard)”.

Toyota Motors recently used one of their songs for the 2016 Hilux TV Commercial.
Aside from Boracay and Singapore, the band performed in other regions and countries like Puerto Galera in Palawan; Vietnam, Rawai Phuket in Thailand and several on-the-spot jam performances in San Francisco, New York, Paris & Amsterdam among the list of places. Other than that, the band was performing regularly at The Roadhouse Macau during the entire month of June 2017.
The band also kicked off 2017 with a New Year’s Eve gig at Shangri-La Makati, Manila that also got them playing there regularly every Wednesday till March of the same year. During the midsummer, their 2nd single, "SPEED" hit #1 again at JAM88.3FM. Another single, “DJ Jam” featuring DJ Badkiss on backing voice sampler was also released April 2018 which was a collaboration produced by Ely Buendia on his Offshore Music Volume 1 compilation album.
In November of 2017, the band signed with a major international label, Warner Music Philippines until the present.

“Blue” (feat. Julz Savard) [released July 2018] has just been nominated for best collaboration in the 2019 Awit Awards, this awarding ceremony has been going on since 1969 and only songs of artists that are registered under PARI (Philippine Association of Record Industry) are eligible to the panel of judges with merit in the Philippine music industry. Turbo Goth is a NYC based, electronic rock duo from the Philippines. Formed in 2008 by Sarah Gaugler (on lead vocals) and Paolo Peralta (on guitar/electronic sampler). They have been known for their very energetic live performances delivered with utmost sincerity to the craft of sound and style. Turbo Goth's music is straightforward rock music with distorted bass synths backed by aggressive heavy beats, with simple yet catchy riff-driven guitars, stitched together by Sarah's angelic icy vocals. Turbo Goth has had numerous performances in numerous venues all over the Philippines and performed at a handful of Music Festivals in Asia. After Turbo Goth's performance at South by Southwest in 2014, they decided to relocate, to apprehend a broader audience, finding a new home in New York by the end of that year. Turbo Goth's notable international performances are Baybeats Music Festival in Singapore (2011), CAMA Festival in Hanoi Vietnam (2012), TURBO GOTH opens for OMD "History Of Modern" Manila at the Araneta Coliseum (2012).
