Veronica Stanton

Born the youngest of nine children in Jenkintown, Pennsylvania, Veronica was encouraged by her parents to play music at a young age as a means of connecting with her family. She grew up singing, playing fiddle, and writing music for fun with her siblings. It was in college, however, with the onset of independence and first experiences of young adulthood, that she turned to her familiar language of songwriting as a means to process life, this time all on her own. She began sharing her songs with friends and sisters, and found that they were meaningful to others, not just herself. Veronica moved to Nashville in October 2016 and boldly immersed herself in a scene of songwriters. She performed in countless writers’ rounds in town, and responded to an ad to begin vocal lessons with local musician, Erin Rae. In working through her songs with Rae, the vision for her debut EP, “827 Miles”, began to come to life. Jumping in with both feet, Veronica connected with producer and owner of Nashville’s Goosehead Palace, Dan Knobler (Erin Rae, Michaela Anne, Caroline Spence, Lakestreet Dive). Knobler played guitar and brought in Anthony DaCosta on electric guitar, Dom Billett on drums, Danny Mitchell on keys, Sam Howard on bass, and Erin Rae on background vocals. They tracked the songs live while Justin Francis engineered. The title, “827 Miles”, the distance from Nashville to her hometown, only hints at the distance Veronica has travelled internally as well as musically. The most meaningful journey is the one we make within ourselves, and with this pure and genuine debut effort she has bravely begun hers; a journey that will no-doubt find a wide audience of listeners who remember or yearn for that journey inward of their own.

Butter Queen Sister is a trio formed in 2014 with a folk-rich, Americana sound. Lead singer/songwriter, Rebecca Lang Fiorentino delivers original and memorable songs that feature simple, heartfelt lyrics on life and love, which at times capture a classic folk sensibility. When not anchoring songs with her guitar, Rebecca picks up her violin and provides another emotional voice to the arrangement. Joining Rebecca are Mike McLane on upright bass and Harry Gambrill on dobro, banjo, mandolin and harmony. Their debut album, Only Be You came out in 2017 and their second album will be out in the Fall of 2019.
