Dwayne Shivers (Micah Dalton)

Dwayne Shivers (Micah Dalton)

Dwayne Shivers is a folk ensemble from East Atlanta, GA, fronted by the songwriter and co-founder Micah Dalton — a locally grown, stylistically incongruent, zany, southern, racially ambiguous, brown folk singer.

Major music journalists and supervisors are already taking note. Jewly Hight, of NPR, The New York Times, and CMT Edge, wrote that Dwayne Shivers wrote "a batch of new-generation spirituals and fleecy, exquisite blues." And the band’s single “Waking Light,” a duet with Kyshona Armstrong) was featured in CBS’ “Criminal Minds,” ABC’s “Conviction,” and CBS’ “Salvation.” Dalton’s reinvention as Dwayne Shivers comes after spending more than 10 years touring, releasing six albums, and co-writing with marquee names such as Nate Campany (LP, Carly Rae Jepsen) with acclaim from publications like Paste and Obscure Sound.

“Buffered & Blest” will be released in early 2019.

Parker Hodges is Jonathan Williams. He writes songs unapologetic to the pains that enter into our lives without shying away from the humor that gets us through them.
If you were to see Williams’ childhood home, it would bring to mind turning leaves, back-to-school mornings, and cool hilltop nights. These things are the perfect setting for what grows inside Williams’ mind. He takes each experience as an ingredient—the right moment of catching speed on a bike down a steep hill and being reminded that the breaks might fail—and adjusts and adjusts until the balance is correct.
