Sonia Leigh maintains an individuality that is so liberating it extends beyond genre. From her main stream nation wide, country catapult on Zac Brown's Southern Ground Records in 2011, to her 2018 dark, pop rock full length release titled Mad Hatter, to her latest physical release, raw rock and roll, 13 track record, recorded live at Abbey Road Studio in London, England. Changes have always been a catalyst for creativity. Her prolific writing style spans across genres easily. She's penned songs for major recording artist, had her songs featured on hit television shows, video game (The Sims), toured across the USA and Europe with rockers like Eric Church, Melissa Etheridge, Bones, Beth Hart, Zac Brown Band, Blackberry Smoke, Tyler Bryant and the Shake Down, Broken Witt Rebels, and legends such as Willie Nelson, Loretta Lynn, and Joan Jett. It seems that Sonia Leigh's story keeps winding onward, weaving in and out of genre's with ease. Her honest edge captures a fans heart forever and leaves them anxiously awaiting her next move. She can hush a room with just her and her guitar or shake the walls with her angsty, raspy roar and band. Sonia Leigh squeezes every drop out of the stage and leaves the crowd shouting for more.
Hey y'all, My name is David Borné (pronounced Born-ay, sorry for all the trouble). I’m a Rock/Soul/Country(I made this genre up) artist and songwriter originally from Baton Rouge, LA. In April 2010, after gigging for a living around Louisiana through college and the years after, I decided to move to Nashville, TN, to see if my songs were any good. Turns out they were not. But it’s ok. In April 2016….Six years, hundreds of songs, and a thousand gigs in the house band at a dive bar called Losers(this is not a joke) later, I had enough songs that I deemed worthy enough to record and release on my debut EP, Break My Heart. Released independently on our own label, Shelby House Records, Break My Heart debuted Top 5 on the iTunes Singer/Songwriter chart, and top 10 on the Billboard South Central Heatseakers chart. I thought it was all pretty neat. I’m excited to hit the road hard in 2017, while finding time to get back in the studio to record a full length LP. I look forward to getting to know y’all better, cheers! - David Borné
Jacob Thomas Jr.
Born and raised in Southern Lousiana, one listen and Jacob Thomas Jr. would have you figuring he spent his youth performing in cowboy bars and trucker dives. You'd only be half right. While Saturday nights were spent cavorting with sinners, Sunday mornings would find him, albeit hungover at times, entertaining saints.
Outfitted with only his acoustic guitar and his voice, Original Sin, Thomas' debut LP, is a collection of experiences. With the majority of songs being first takes, the lack of production invites the listener to pay close attention to what's being said, the stories being told, and the heartbreak being felt or dealt. Jacob never pretends to be the good guy, and his honesty, which can be unsettling at times, is ultimately revealing.
