Happy Birthday Miles! Birthday Party with That Boy Miles, Orrin, IDKHIM

That Boy Miles

Born and raised in New Orleans, THAT BOY MILES
brings a breath of fresh air to the streaming age of
hip-hop. As a multi-instrumentalist with an upbringing
rooted in hip-hop and jazz, THAT BOY MILES
blends heavy basses and distorted 808s with
lush synths and natural instruments to carry the
technicolor landscape of New Orleans to a global
stage. Now based in Brooklyn, THAT BOY MILES
exists as an artist in the full sense of the word.

Brooklyn art rapper Orrin is about to take over. His sound layers, lyrics deconstructing the modern black experience over post modern Hip Hop beats and experimental soundscapes, while his fashion-forward image combines 2020 street style with technical apparel, retro eyewear and a community of collaboration with emerging NYC designers.

This May, Orrin releases his self titled debut. The project is a 35 minute tale of adolescence, tech singularity, and black identity in America as Orrin finds his voice by challenging the labels put on him, simultaneously dealing with encounters of love and social life within New York.

The up-and-coming artist is joining the rank of a new generation of artists that are addressing racism, violence and disillusionment through their music in a way that hasn't been heard in decades. The fashion-forward artist made a name for himself by way of Soundcloud with music that challenges hip-hop’s hyper-masculinity through sartorial and sonic means. He is notorious for shedding light on the corrupt society that confines rappers to fit in its certain stereotypical molds.
