ZED 'VOLUME' Record Release Show w/Swamphammer & The Ghost Next Door
2209 Broadway Street
Redwood City, CA, 94063
Doors 7:00 PM / Show 8:00 PM
This event is 21 and over
Making their roaring presence felt in the Bay Area rock scene since 2007, San Jose earth shakers ZED harvest a sound based on the core principles of blues, heaviness, groove, and feel. No bell bottoms, wizard sleeves, or hip huggers for this crew. Instead, it’s a barrage of head-bobbing, air-guitaring, hip-shaking, blues-driven riffage as delivered by the bastards of rock & roll. Celebrating their third release on one of the worlds leading psych/stoner/doom labels, Ripple Music, ZED have selected Club Fox to celebrate and usher in the sound of their album 'VOLUME'.
Helping to bring the rock to the party are their longtime friends Swamphammer, with their southern boogie styles, and fellow Ripple Music labelmates, The Ghost Next Door, with their alt-metal/doom riffage, making this night one to remember!
Founded 2011 in the San Francisco Bay Area, Swamphammer has rapidly evolved into a local fixture. The unique, diverse roots of each member has produced the eclectic powerhouse of sound that is Swamphammer....
Swamphammer embodies a mixture of the fierce, dynamic vocals of TBA, sweet southern slide riffs of Stephen Lynch, Fierce drum skills of Cody Antill, rich guitar tones of Jimmy Arceneaux and unique ballsy bass of Laura Scott.
Swamphammer will be introducing their new singer at the show at Club Fox in Redwood City June 8, 2019.
The Ghost Next Door
Based in Berkeley, California, The Ghost Next Door emerged from a desire to marry the dark melancholy of 80s and 90s alternative with the aggression and drive of Bay Area metal. With Gary Wendt on vocals and guitar, Aaron Asghari on guitar, Noah Whitfield on bass, and Sebastien Castelain on drums, solid songwriting and musical diversity are at the core of The Ghost Next Door’s sound.
Each member brings unique influences from across the modern music spectrum: from punk to jazz, progressive metal to sadcore, modern rock to thrash. Their influences and playing styles combine into meter-bending, riff-driven rock and roll breaking out from under the bare skin of abrasively honest lyrics. On stage, they come together to show what manifests from an undeniable compulsion to create and perform their expressive take on modern metal.
