Reggae/Dancehall artist “Inna Vision” has played more than 100 cities across America with friends Tribal Seeds, Fortunate Youth, New Kingston, Bambu Station and The Steppas. Inna Vision has shared stages with Damian Marley, SOJA, Rebelution, Collie Buddz, UB40 and wrapped up a wild 2015 supporting three back-to-back tours with international reggae icon J Boog. Determination and persistence has brought Inna Vision to stages such as Reggae on the River, California Roots Festival, Reggae on the Hills, Pure Aloha, One Love Festival and Hawaii’s Mayjah Rayjah.
Born “Michael Kamakoakeauoliokekai Lopes” music began at an early age. Growing up on the second largest Hawaiian island “Maui,” ukuleles, surfing and reggae concerts was natural lifestyle. At the age of twelve “Koa” started his first bands playing for school functions, local concerts and graduation parties. Was not long before traveling out of Hawaii became frequent just to watch his favorite reggae artist perform live. In 2005 after a trip to “Tribute to the Legends Festival” in San Diego, Koa returned with the name “Inna Vision” and a vision to take his passion for music to a world wide stage.
From 2008 to 2017 Inna Vision recorded a catalogue of four full-length albums, 5 EP’s and numerous singles that have impacted iTunes and Billboard international charts. Inna Vision’s tracks cracked the iTunes Top 10, Youtube videos viewed more than 500,000 times and is one of Pandora’s most streamed Hawaii reggae stations.
Inna Vision has currently released a five song EP “Highest Grade” on March 3, 2017 followed by Highest Grade headline tour performing through California, Arizona and Las Vegas. The project is considered a cross over release with a fusion of Reggae, Dancehall and Hip-hop. The evolution of music has got the attention of artist, producers and fans from United States, Caribbean, Asia & Europe.
Catch Inna Vision on tour this Spring 2017 with New Zealand’s Katchafire March 17 - April 23.
It takes just a few musicians and their instruments to start a reggae band. But to successfully bring that breezy island sound to a landlocked city such as Dallas, Texas requires something exceptional.
Bum Lucky was born out of the desire to cultivate a distinguished reggae music scene in the Dallas-Fort Worth region. Being located far from the beaches and pot-friendly atmospheres where the genre thrives forced the four-piece to dig deeper in its songwriting and sound — a welcome challenge that thrust the music new heights and enticed bands such as Fortune Youth and Tribal Seeds to play alongside Bum Lucky in their hometown.
The band’s latest EP, Show Some Love, is founded in roots-rock reggae and dub, and tinged with elements from southern rock and blues. The result is a collection of songs as gritty as they are seductive — the music embodies a rebellious spirit that serves as both a call to action and remedy on the dancefloor.
This fresh approach has rewarded Bum Lucky opportunities to share the stage with bands such as the Original Wailers, Lee Scratch Perry, Katchafire, Groundation, the Expendables, the Movement, Sensamotion, Mishka, Tribal Seeds and Fortunate Youth, among others. They’ve been guests at esteemed festivals throughout the Southwest while touring on a rigorous schedule the last several years to spread the gospel of good tunes.
The band plans to release a new single, called “Steven Avery,” in summer 2017 and follow up with a righteous North American tour you don’t want to miss. Hustle is the name of their game — one they expect to play all year long.
