͞We met in guitar class͟ is not a thing many people can say...but Sarah Zimmermann and Justin Davis performed together for the first time on the very same day they met...in guitar class. Fast forward, following the international success of Striking Matches’ 2015 album ͞Nothing But The Silence͟, produced by T Bone Burnett, and 9 songs on TV’s ͞Nashville͟, Davis and Zimmermann have teamed up with Kennedy Karate (BØRNS, Silver Sun Pickups) for their second LP, an album in a style they call ͞blues-pop͟ - an amalgamation of their blues and roots based guitar riffs, combined with pop melodies - due out this summer. Striking Matches are gearing up for an international tour with dates in the US, UK, and Europe all throughout the summer and fall, along with the release of the new record.
Raised by his artist parents in Cornwall, a small beach town outside of London, Sam Palladio stayed nearby to pursue his career as a performer, studying theatre and music at Rose Bruford Drama College where he later graduated.
After graduating, Sam found himself showcasing his talents in the original cast for the musical Dreamboats & Petticoats, touring the UK before bringing it into London’s West End.
His television credits include his role as Stoke in season two of the Showtime hit Episodes, starring Matt LeBlanc. Additionally he’s had appearances on the UK small screen on shows Doctors and The Hour.
Sam earned critical attention when he appeared in the 2012 television pilot Nashville. His performance alongside Clare Bowen in the soulful rendition of “If I Didn’t Know Better” immediately captivated audiences and ignited his music career. He performs on both of season one's soundtracks, which have sold over 2 million.
Sam also stars in the film Runner, Runner, opposite Justin Timberlake, Ben Affleck and Gemma Arterton.
