John Fumasoli & The Jones Factor
10 piece little big band, was formed in 1986 by trombonist and bandleader John Fumasoli. Looking for something smaller than a big band, and larger than his trombone septet, which featured Eddie Bert and a teenager named Joey Calderazzo, Fumasoli decided to embark on a project that can best be described as “front burner/back burner” with the instrumentation of a pared down big band, and the addition of French horn. Early on the group had a steady Wednesday night gig in Stamford Ct. for nearly two years at a place called Pauline’s, on Atlantic St. and the venue was a great room for musicians and writers including Lonnie Smith and Melvin Sparks. The Jones Factor (at the time called the Jazz Collective) welcomed numerous writers and musicians and was a collective for musicians in the area for performing, writing and networking. Towards the end of the stint at Paulines, trumpeter Tony Kadleck brought his original chart to the band “The Jones Factor” hence the name change. Over the years the book has grown to over a hundred charts covering many different styles including Bop, Hard Bop, Latin, Blues, Funk and Hip Hop. The unique instrumentation allows for a great variety of textures, colors and sounds and the diversity of its players makes for exciting performances. The Jones Factor has put out two CD’s “Collective Jazz” and “Blast From the Past” and is gathering material for it’s third recording.
New York Bred Artist
I Write When There’s No One Left To Talk To. When I’m At My Worst. When I’m At My Best. Through The Unrequited Love. And Through The Effortless Loves. To Empower Myself. And To Ignite Others.
Growing up between the East and West coasts, American singer- songwriter and actor Dante Palminteri matured his musical styling at an early age, drawing inspiration from John Mayer's lyrical mastery of the human psyche and Ed Sheeran's genre-defying melodies. As a teenager, he took center stage as the lead vocalist of New York-based metal band Kaymus, having learned how to fuse his vibrant sound with the edgier chords of think-outside-the-box bands, Tool and Audioslave. During his time studying songwriting at Berklee College of Music in Boston, lyrics about teenage angst and high school crushes soon turned into more complex compilations about unrequited love, soul mates lost and found, and life's emotional roller coaster. Bringing together the pop sounds of his musical contemporaries and the hard rock roots of his past, Dante has brought an original vision to his debut EP, “From Me To You.”
Singer/songwriter, producer, guitar and harmonica player from the Southern Tier of Upstate New York — is a description that only begins to scratch the surface of motivation-driven, harmony-obsessed Emily Angell. While some have compared her to Jewel and Alanis Morissette, she’s just as well known for moments of belting out Cristina-esque high notes or busting out the harmonica while deftly looping vocals with acoustic guitar. Her latest album, Built For This, combines Electronic Pop, modern R&B and emotionally charged lyrics with themes of empowerment and melodies that are easily singable. Emily grew up on The Beatles and James Taylor along with The Phantom of the Opera and Free To Be You & Me soundtracks — thus it’s no surprise she enjoys creating songs that blur genre lines. Emily’s debut self-released EP The Upset (2011) received praise for its simple, acoustic approach, landing her generous reviews from Women of Substance Radio and AllMusic.com. Her sophomore EP Let Go (2015) incorporated Folk and Rock influences and secured her spots opening for well-known names in Alternative Radio like American Authors and Dreamers.
