RAR Brewing is a small brewery located in Cambridge, MD. We offer a spacious tap room, a rotating beer menu, and a full food menu. Ales, smokehouse grub, and service are what we specialize in. We distribute in kegs only to the entire state of Maryland. Ask for us in your local bars, restaurants, and growler stations!
Michelle Murray's No Part of Nothin
Michelle Murray is an award-winning performing songwriter in the Maryland D.C. area. She plays a combination of originals and covers that span genres including Americana, Folk, Bluegrass, Country, Singer Songwriter and a touch of the blues.
Michelle’s latest EP release, “This Life, My Life,” will be released on March 11th, 2018. This EP includes songs recently signed to several prestigious music publishers. Her earlier EP, “Coming Home”, was released in September 2015.
Michelle has received multiple Wammie (Washington Area Music Award) nominations throughout the years, first for the "Water's Edge" CD, "Make a Choice," which received a 2005 Wammie nomination for best contemporary folk recording. Michelle's solo CD, "Collection of Songs"received a 2006 Washington Area Music Association (WAMA) "Wammie" nomination for Best Contemporary Folk Recording, and in the same year, the trio she played in, Murray, Crump & Hatley, was nominated for best Contemporary Folk Duo/Group. In 2007 and 2008, her trio Chapter Three was also nominated for best Contemporary Folk Group and Contemporary Folk Recording. In 2013 the country bluegrass band she was a member of, Buck Stone and the Bucktones, received a nomination for best country group. And most recently, she and her duo partner Michelle Lockey received a 2015 nomination for best Folk - Contemporary duo.
Several of Michelle's songs have received recognition. Her song "Married Women" was selected as an Editor's Pick on Washington Post MP3's web site in the summer of 2005. In addition, another song "Wandering Heart", won an honorable mention in the October 2005 Song of the Year contest. "Tucker's Song" received airplay on WETA-FM on the Traditions show.
She has also been a guest on Damien Einstein's show on WRNR-FM, and her music has also been aired on WETA-FM. (on the "Traditions" show). In addition to her solo work, In addition to her solo work, Michelle is the leader of a bluegrass-country band, “No Part of Nothin.” In addition, she does some duo work with fellow singer/songwriter Michelle Lockey. The group plays a combination of originals and covers that span genres including Americana, Country, Singer Songwriter and Pop. They have a unique sound that consists of magical harmonies and an upbeat lightheartedness. Michelle currently serves on the board of and hosts an open mic for the Songwriter's Association of Washington.
