Bobaflex: Coast to Coast '19

BOBAFLEX is known as one of the hardest working bands in the country. Renowned for their high energy, live shows and relentless touring the band was formed in 1998 by brothers Shaun and Marty McCoy. The brothers are known for their ancestral ties to the most infamous family feud in American history between the Hatfield and McCoy. The interest of the feud has spurred of late a mini-series, many documentaries and an upcoming modern day version series debuting this Fall.

BOBAFLEX released their 6th album CHARLATAN'S WEB on BFX RECORDS on September 10th. The long anticipated follow up to 2011's HELL IN MY HEART that featured the singles BURY ME WITH MY GUNS ON, CHEMICAL VALLEY and THE SOUND OF SILENCE. The first single off the album BAD MAN peaked at #32 on the charts and their new single I'M GLAD YOU'RE DEAD is off to a better start.

The band consisting of brothers, Shaun (vocals, guitars) and Marty McCoy (vocals, guitars), Jerod Mankin (vocals, bass), Tommy Johnson (drums) and newly added David Tipple (guitars) will be bringing their tour from coast-to-coast in support of the new album and single, BAD MAN hitting the airwaves in July.

Their catalog is rounded out by PRIMITIVE EPIC (2003) on Eclipse Records; APOLOGIZE FOR NOTHING (2005) and TALES FROM DIRT TOWN (2007) on TvT
Records and CHEMICAL VALLEY (2010) which they self-released.

The band is not dreading on the past anymore as they embattled a troubled label, legal battles and just looking ahead to the future.

As Strange As Angels

"Heart Rock" From Dallas,TX | Late December 2016, songs started to come to life. The most vulnerable Norman Matthew had ever been. Musically & personally. His story began to tell itself through song. “Waves”, the first single, a tale of a proverbial rebirth after being trapped in the tidal waves of life, and "Heart Rock" was born. Not an album title, but a lifestyle. From the heart, for the heart, by the heart.
Working with producers Mick Kenney (Motionless In White), Nick Page (The Darkness, Fuel) & Sahaj Ticotin (Starset, Sevendust, Stitched Up Heart), Norman Matthew hit the drawing board with close friend CJ Pierce of Drowning Pool. Mentored by platinum producer Beau Hill. Enlisting Chris Dawson of Seasons After for mix duties and Mike Kalajian (Machine Head, Saosin) for mastering.
“As Strange As Angels is a story with many chapters. Each chapter needed to be given it’s own soundtrack. Whatever felt right, I ran with. I didn’t care about genre and labels. I’m so thankful for all the amazing people who have helped me bring this record to life. Who picked me up along the way, never gave up on me, and never stopped believing. Plenty of people let go and stopped believing. I had to take a step back and learn how to live life again. As Strange As Angels, is a testament to that. A gift in many ways. I owe much of myself, to all those that kept my blood flowing, and my heart going.” – Norman Matthew, Vocals, Guitar
