Grumby DJ Set (11 PM FREE), Among the Acres, The Heavens, Storm Kid, Charlie and the Rays

Grumby DJ Set (12 AM FREE).

Merging elements of Folk, Rock, Pop, and Americana, Among the Acres delivers an eclectic yet singular sound, marked by cascading four-part vocal harmonies, dynamic grooves, and a keen sense for lyricism. Erik, Sean, Greg, and Michael came together while all working on separate projects with common producer, Patrick Giguere. Their mutual admiration for each other’s craft quickly elevated the band beyond the typical assemblage of players and into a brotherhood, defined by collaborative songwriting and a unified blend of voices.

The Heavens is a dark wave post-punk band based in Brooklyn, NY. They take their queue from great 80s and 90s bands like The Cure, New Order, Tears for Fears, and Duran Duran, but their particular new wave sound shows significant contemporary influence as well. Their latest album, Dream Reaper, is a plunge into the grim depths of the human predicament, even as it maintains an insistence on upbeat, rock 'n roll fun.

Charlie and the Rays

After evolving from buskers on the streets of Pike Place Market in Seattle, to a full band, Charlie and the Rays meld “sunshine-y, Vitamin D-rich folk” with classic rock and blues and have packed a punch across the Northwest. Sisters Jordan and Rebecca Stobbe along with childhood friend, Gracia Bridges founded the troupe in their childhood homes of Shoreline,

Washington. From powerful female vocal harmonies and exuberant guitar licks to McCartney-esque basslines, the group sits somewhere between 60s rock ’n’ roll and oldies folk. The band has recently re-located to New York City, and will be playing live shows in the New York area, and will be doing more touring on the East Coast.
