Rick Shapiro

Comedian, poet and author Rick Shapiro is one of the most innovative and surreal comedic talents and a staple of the NYC and LA Underground comedy scene.

Shapiro began his career in the early 1980's performing stand-up at Catch A Rising Star on Broadway. Besides performing regularly on stage, throughout the 1990's he acted and starred in numerous films by Louis CK, including Tomorrow Night.

Shapiro is most commonly referenced to as Jerry from HBO’s Lucky Louie. He is, however, a 30-year comedy stage veteran and master of long-form and improv and can be seen on multiple television channels including HBO, FX, CBS and Showtime. In 2012 Shapiro played the role of ‘T-Rick’ in Warner Bros. cult comedy picture Project X.

He has performed several solo shows at comedy festivals around the world, including an acclaimed one-man show based on his book 'Unfiltered' – an anthology of pieces written and found throughout years of scrap pieces of paper, blogs and journal entries.

His two comedy albums 'Unconditional Love' and ‘Catalyst for Change’ can be found at

Matt Roper is a comedian, writer and neo-vaudevillian. He recently made his NYC theater debut portraying Chico Marx, eldest of the iconic Marx Brothers, in I'll Say She Is: The Marx Brothers Musical. He performs internationally with his alter-ego Wilfredo, a powerhouse musical comedy creation with two albums, a short film and countless tours to his credit. He is a founder member of The Secret Variety Society and the proud recipient of a Malcolm Hardee Award – presented annually at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe.
