Billy Gilmore & Friends

Progressive bluegrass multi-instrumentalist Billy Gilmore hails from Stuart, FL, basing himself out of Palm Beach. He started playing music with the five-string banjo when he was seven years old, moving on to learn the guitar, mandolin, Dobro, fiddle, bass, and keyboards, and is known to do a good bit of percussion, too. Able to play almost anything in almost any style, from bluegrass to jazz and swing and all points in between, Gilmore has performed, toured, recorded, and contributed to an impressive number of groups, including Brittany Reilly & the Almost Acoustic Band, Crazy Fingers, the Grass Is Dead, the Bluegrass Travelers, Quartermoon, Aquaphonics, Stonehouse, and the Hickory Project, which featured Sue Cunningham on five-string fiddle, Anthony Hannigan on mandolin, David Cavage on banjo, and Gilmore on bass and guitar.
