Jeffrey Lewis & Los Bolts

Jeffrey Lewis & Los Bolts

Jeffrey Lewis & Los Bolts (NYC) play an abnormally satisfying style of scuzzy urban indie-rock-folk, like a 21st Century mash-up of Sonic Youth, Pete Seeger and R. Crumb. Born and raised New Yorker Jeffrey has pursued a relentless touring schedule around the world since 2002, as well as playing as the opening act for bands like the Mountain Goats, Daniel Johnston, Stephen Malkmus & The Jicks, Dinosaur Jr, The Fall, Dr. Dog, Pulp, Roky Erickson, The Vaselines, and most recently a USA tour supporting Hobo Johnson at 2,000-capacity venues. Jeffrey has released seven critically acclaimed albums on Rough Trade Records, in addition to occasional self-releases and projects on other labels (like K Records or Don Giovanni), and Jeffrey continues to self-publish his art and writing in an ongoing underground comic book series called Fuff. Current Los Bolts bandmates usually include Brent (Moldy Peaches) Cole on drums and Mem (Cat Tatt) Pahl on bass and keys. Jeffrey Lewis & Los Bolts have recorded a brand new full-length album in Nashville with producer Roger Moutenot (Yo La Tengo), with title and release date tba!

Paul McMahon

Paul McMahon is a legendary singer-songwriter from Woodstock. He has written some of the most beautiful love songs of our time and sings them in beautiful voice. Set against Mississippi John Hurt style fingerpicking, McMahon's sometimes mindblowing lyrics weave the tale of this Goddess worshipper's journey through time and more than a few dimensions, inducing trance states in the receptive. He believes in the healing force of music as it has been that for him. He has released ten albums and has around 100 songs up on youtube. His songs can be found on Bandcamp, Rhapsody and Spotify. He has gotten play on WKZE, WDST and WFMU. He has played in many venues including the Metropolitan Museum, CBGB's, the Knitting Factory, the Tinker Street Cafe, and the Kitchen.
A No Wave survivor he was in Daily Life with Glenn Branca, A Band with Wharton Tiers, Naked with Julia Nichols and Army of Love with Amanda Jo Williams.

“McMahon’s heavyweight musical assets: an assured, second-nature self-accompaniment on acoustic guitar and a rangy, agreeable voice with sweet spots in all registers...To say that McMahon weaves together sacred and profane, timeless and topical doesn’t quite do justice to the spontaneous grace and high-resolution detail of the tapestry.”
-John Burdick, Hudson Valley Almanac

"Paul's musical wizardry combines insights worthy of Dylan with the vocal charm of Willie Nelson and the eclecticism of the Beatles." -Sharon Gannon, Jivamukti Yoga School

“His voice contains the seed sound. Haunted by clarity he carries the circle.”
-Joseph ‘Beautiful Painted Arrow’ Rael

“Both his art and his rock music have a lovable, whimsical, and goofy humor.”
-Dan Graham, artist, music critic
