Black metal band from Stockholm, Sweden, founded by guitarists Lord Ahriman (Mikael Svanberg) and Blackmoon (David Parland) in 1993. They were later joined by Draugen (Joel Andersson) and Themgoroth (Paul Mäkitalo) and eventually recorded their self-titled and self-financed debut album at Uni-Sound studio, released on the 4th of May, the day the band also played their very first gig. After the release, Draugen left the band and was replaced by Equimanthorn. The band was signed to No Fashion Records in 1995 and switched to Abyss Studio. For their first own tour, Emperor Magus Caligula (Magnus Broberg) (original vocalist of Hypocrisy) joined the band as vocalist and became a permanent member.
In 1996, Dark Funeral released their second full-length album, "The Secrets of the Black Arts" which was well-received and enabled the band to get deals with Metal Blade Records (North America) and Mystic Production (Poland). Following the contracts, vocalist Themgoroth and drummer Equimanthorn left the band along with co-founding member Blackmoon. Alzazmon (Tomas Asklund) was recruited as the new drummer.
The band went on the first round of the "Satanic War Tour" throughout Europe together with Necromass in 1996, followed in 1997 by a second round with Ancient (2) and Bal-Sagoth as support. After appearing on "The American Satanic Crusade Tour" with Usurper (2) as support, the band returned to Sweden to record the album "Vobiscum Satanas".
In 1998, Dominion (8) (Matti Mäkelä), joined as session bass player as Dark Funeral played at the "The Ineffable Kings of Darkness" Tour with Enthroned and Liar Of Golgotha, as well as appearing at the Swedish Hultsfred Festival. After the tour, Typhos (Henrik Ekeroth) was replaced by Dominion as the bands second guitarist, with Emperor Magus Caligula picking up the bass. Alzazmon also left the band, and the band's long time friend Gaahnfaust (Robert Lundin) replaced him as drummer. The following year meant even more touring, playing the "Black Plague Across the West" tour in Mexico and America, as well as "The Satanic Inquisition" tour with Dimmu Borgir.
The EP "Teach the Children to Worship Satan" was released in 2000, recorded at the Abyss studio. Following the "No Mercy" festival tour with Deicide, Immortal and Cannibal Corpse, Gaahnfaus left the band, with Matte Modin (Defleshed) taking his place. He made his debut at the "With Full Force" festival. In 2001, they once again entered Abyss Studio to record "Diabolis Interium". "Under the Wings of Hell" split EP, with Swedish Infernal (5), came in 2002 and in 2004 the live album "De Profundis Clamavi Ad Te Domine" was released.
Death/Black Metal band from Salzburg, Austria. Formed in 1991 as Betrayer (11) but changed the name to Belphegor in 1993.
Legendary Death Metal act Incantation was formed in the US in 1989 by John McEntee (guitar, vocals) and Paul Ledney (drums). They were soon joined by Arogon Amori (bass) and Brett Mackowski (guitar) whom they recorded their first demo with. John was left alone since the others left and headed in a Black Metal direction. People came and went and in 1992 they released their first full-length album, "Onward to Golgotha". The second album, "Mortal Throne of Nazarene", came in 1994.
The band has experienced a wealth of line-up changes, but has managed to survive and continue to release albums. John McEntee is the only original member left, he has managed to keep the band alive.
John McEntee and his wife Jill (Daily) McEntee are also in a band called Funerus.

Vale of Pnath
Definition: The Vale of Pnath is a vast pit in the underworld. The vale is filled with a mountain-sized heap of bones and is the spot into which all the ghouls of the waking world cast the refuse of their feastings. Enormous worm-like creatures burrow through the vale and often carry helpless victims to the vale, where they are left to die.
Black Metal, Death Metal Band from Tampa, Florida
Introducing NIGHTMARER, consisting of Paul Seidel (THE OCEAN, WAR FROM A HARLOTS MOUTH), Simon Hawemann (WAR FROM A HARLOTS MOUTH) and John Collett (GIGAN, SWWAATS). Their debut 'Chasm' features two songs and is a crushingly heavy Extreme Metal whirlwind, full of grim dissonance, rupturing tension and swallowing darkness. A monolithic juggernaut of black-, doom- and death-metal, that demonstrates a massive and powerful first strike of this rising formation.
Simon Hawemann - Guitars
Paul Seidel - Drums
John Collett - Vocals
