For alternative rock/pop duo KidEyes, the name was created as a way of regenerating themselves literally and figuratively after a few “interesting” years in the music industry. “Creatively, it was a beautiful maturation process of growth and experiences. As for the business side, it was a lot of double loops and twist and turns that emotionally took a toll” says Greg Cahn, singer and 1/2 of Kideyes.

“In the last several years of making music, so much changes. As in life, music is in a constant state of flux. From new genres being introduced to keeping up with software updates to making sense of the latest viral sensation, as a musician it can make your head pop. And after a few band breakups for both of us, it felt like It was necessary to take a step back. So we started with the first ingredient that started this whole musical journey which was rock” explains Ben Epand, Producer and Guitarist of KidEyes.

KidEyes certainly paints with a rock palette mixed with several key colors of secondary genres. Their debut work is full of distortion, atmosphere, and emotions. With their latest single release “Alive”, blends of big reverb drums, wild ripping guitars, and huge soaring vocals are all laid out for the listener. “We know what we like the duo says in unison. So the center for KidEyes is never hard to find.”

Unabashedly emotional, McCall’s lyrics and music tell you all you need to know about the brutally bold and honest 20 year old artist-songwriter. Born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia, McCall spent her teen years playing open mics and songwriter showcases in Southern blues clubs like Eddie’s Attic. Often the youngest in the room by a decade or more - and nearly always the only woman who played guitar - her survival in the scene depended on living by her incessant mantra “Make Noise,” an appeal to young women and men everywhere to speak their minds and to be bold even when it feels like the world may not be listening.
At 18, McCall moved to Los Angeles to attend USC’s Popular Music Program, where she refined her sound by melding her traditional blues background with contemporary pop and electronic influences. Following up collaborations with MYRNE, Grant, MELVV, and her in-your-face debut single “Why I’m Here,” her upcoming 2019 EP showcases the whole range her own brand of guitar-laden alternative pop.
