Born in Bangkok in 1991, award-winning and critically acclaimed Thai-Swedish singer/composer SIRINTIP has already managed to explore and work in a wide array of genres across three different continents. Driven by an urge to question the rules and create music in every possible way, she has studied jazz over the last twelve years at some of the top music schools in Sweden including the Royal College of Music in Stockholm. Fresh off of winning the Swedish Musician's Union Award, STIM Scholarship, Brooklyn Brewery's local grant as Sweden's next up-and-coming artist, SIRINTIP recently moved to New York City and graduated with a master´s degree from the prestigious Manhattan School of Music under Gretchen Parlato & Theo Bleckmann. In 2015, SIRINTIP was a semi-finalist in the esteemed Thelonious Monk International Jazz Competition for jazz vocals where she “impressed with [her] self-penned, world-weary lyrics for “Pannonica” (Jazztimes) in addition to performing her own arrangements in front of an all-star panel of judges (Dee Dee Bridgewater, Al Jarreau, Fred Cole etc) and an audience that including musical celebrities (Herbie Hancock, Wayne Shorter, Quincy Jones), media, and people around the world tuning in to the live-streamed broadcast. In 2017, SIRINTIP recently performed at the Polar Music Prize to honor Wayne Shorter for winning the prize of 2017 and she is currently working on her debut record produced by three-time grammy award winner Michael League of Snarky Puppy and Mark Guiliana (played on David Bowie´s latest record - Black Star) on drums which will be released on GroundUP Music, NYC.
