Low Strung

Low Strung is a group of classically trained cellists from Yale University who have gone rogue to create the largest all-cello rock band in the world. Low Strung transforms rock, pop, metal, and blues songs into hits designed exclusively for the cello. The final product is something that cannot be found anywhere else: music bursting with the excitement of rock but executed with the cello's thundering bass and butter-smooth treble. The group's ever-expanding repertoire spans the gamut from the '60s to today, from The Who and Led Zeppelin to Lady Gaga and Beyoncé. These sweeping arrangements range from faithfulness to the classics to merging past and present in unlikely musical encounters, such as The Eagles meets Beethoven in Low Strung's chilling take on Hotel California."
