A Boy Named John
A Boy Named John establishes a tasteful mixture of explosive punk rock and post-hardcore components with gentle indie elements to concoct a new take on a classic Jersey alternative rock sound. The band consists of vocalist Christian Singh, guitarists Josh Lustig and Jack Lips, bassist Nick Spillert, keyboardist/guitarist Paul Singh, and drummer Brandon Martinez.
Their song “Gentlemen" has become a staple in the New Jersey music scene and beyond for its impactful stand against sexual assault.
Junkanoo is a 5-piece, female fronted, double bass wielding rock band from northern NJ, who are just looking to rock your socks off!
"Switch Mob is America's band - a melting pot of musicians (Hispanic, Black, female, suburban male, LGBTQ) who have created a special sound. Think '90s Soul meets Black Eyed Peas meets 2019.
""THANK YOU and the extremely talented Switch Mob. They killed it. My only regret was not having them play later in the day. However, what a great way to open the festival."" Tom Kerns, Maplewoodstock (Maplewood, NJ)
""People are coming in off the street to see them!"" Brian Alvarado, Heady Productions (Glens Falls, NY)
""Band was great. Want you here often."" Kyle Brendle, The Stone Pony (Asbury Park, NJ)
""I saw you guys last night for the first time in Glens Falls. I was completely blown away by your talent. Thank you for coming up here to play. It was truly a pleasure."" Wyatt Edwards, Concertgoer at GEM Fest (Glens Falls, NY)
Switch Mob's live show is the most infectious thing since the Black Plague (only Switch Mob's music is guaranteed to make you live longer or your money back). Their influences range from '60s Funk to old school Jazz to '90s Hip-Hop to a tinge of '00s Emo, a blend that is unique and remarkably appealing to wide-ranging audiences. With personnel as diverse as their musical background, the Switch Mob experience has proven to be more special than that new hoodie from Sears.
Their first single, “Connect The Dots,” is a piece of Pop/R&B confection, led by lead singers Sara Schulmann and Chris Herrera and includes a rap by bandleader/keyboard player, Tima D. They recently released their second single ""Rain,"" which reached 20,000 Spotify streams in only five weeks.
Switch Mob has played many shows throughout the eastern region including colleges (Keene State University, Monmouth University, Seton Hall University, William Paterson University), festivals (In The MKNG Festival in Bethel Woods, NY, Maplewoodstock in Maplewood, NJ, GEM Fest in Glens Falls, NY), and unique venues (breweries, BBQ joints, campgrounds). Their show on November 9th at the Bowery Electric caps off a tremendous year."
COUNCIL consists of three brothers hoping to trade in a life of farming for success in their true passion: music.
Pat, Doug and Andy Reeves have balanced working in the fields of Baldwinsville, NY. during the day and honing their craft at night in their family barn and their commitment to their music has begun to pay off. They have recently gained both local and national attention for their unique sound and charismatic performances. Having played numerous successful shows at the mainstays in NYC, and opening for bands such as The All American Rejects and The Kooks, they have established themselves at one of the top up and coming bands to watch.
COUNCIL has just finished their debut EP, Rust To Gold, with Grammy Nominated Producer Justin Gray (Mariah Carey, John Legend), 10 time Grammy Nominated Mixer Mark Needham (Imagine Dragons, The Killers) and Mastering Legend Howie Weinberg (U2, Nirvana).
Our song, Rust to Gold, was featured in the 2018 Winter Olympics, American Idol, Scottish Premier League Championship and Premier League Stadiums.
