Oriri & The Soulhouse Crew
Oriri was born in Nigeria. He got his start in music as a keyboard player for his fathers afro highlife band. He spent many years composing and recording original music with his fathers Ulele Power Sound group and always wanted to do the same with other musicians.
The Soulhouse Crew was formed in early 2018 in Culver City, California and is made up of musicians with diverse international roots.
Oriri (Guitar, Vocals) as already stated was born in Benin City, Nigeria in West Africa. Natsumi (keys) is a Japanese classical trained pianist. Nick (Bass) is a first generation Argentine American with a music degree from Cal State LA. Andre (Drums) is a multi-instrumentalist from Minneapolis and Adam (Guitar) is California native with strong roots in Mexico. This chance union of diverse musician makes the groups message of love and human connection strong as evident in their songs “Color Blind” and “Benin to Memphis”.
Oriri and The Soulhouse Crew will be playing a blend of Afro Rock, Soul and Ska music with influence from Fela Kuti, Bob Marley and all the millions of sounds they have come across in the world. “We look forward to sharing a fun time with you filled with relatable song themes and soulful reflective melodies to go with it”

Darryl Morris Band
Darryl Morris is a gifted minstrel who offers a blend of acoustic music that is introspective and reflective of life's deeper meanings and mysteries. He strives to offer everything one would crave in a songwriter - passion, originality, and important message that encourage listeners to know themselves a little better.
A transcendent singer-songwriter, Darryl has been influenced by those who have a message. The primary and spiritual sources of his music come from such activists as Dr. Martin Luther King, Malcolm X, and Angela Davis. He has also been musically influenced by the brilliance and the melodic imagery of Jimmy Hendrix and Freddie Mercury of Queen, and the lyrical perseverance of James Taylor, Tracy Chapman, Bernie Taupin, and John Waite.
Darryl has been welcomed and received as a solo acoustic artist in various venues and some of the finest Colleges and Universities throughout the country. Darryl would like to have the opportunity to perform music that can be experienced by all people of the world regardless of age, sex, color and/or ethnic origins. His main goal is to make a positive impact on an individual's consciousness by creating music to be enjoyed and remembered.
Ben Spivak is perhaps best known as the bass player and one quarter of the chart topping band Magic! In 2014 their song "Rude" was #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 for 6 straight weeks and went #1 in over 40 other countries.
And while Magic! still tours consistently and is always working on and releasing new music, Ben also wanted to do something a little different.
Going back to his love for earthy organic rock music, live performance, improvisation, and "classic" songwriting, Ben began writing songs that aren't meant to be hit songs; aren't meant to be played on the radio. They're meant to be played live by a band in front of an audience. They're meant to breathe and grow and be explored. He describes it as though the Rolling Stones and the Grateful Dead had a baby in 2019 (with a splash of Allman Brothers for good measure). The anchor is always the song, but once the band takes off there's no knowing where it could go.
Ben, originally from Toronto, Canada but now living in LA, released his solo debut back in 2010. Recorded in Toronto, Ben played most of the instruments and wrote and sang all the songs. At the time he was also building a career as a touring/session bass player. Over the years Ben has shared the stage with Marc Anthony, Wyclef Jean, Sean Paul, Ty Taylor (of Vintage Trouble), Grammy nominated artist K-Os, multi Juno and CCMA Award winner Johnny Reid, and has appeared on Fallon, Kimmel, Letterman, The View, the Juno Awards, and Good Morning America.
"Music is a journey," says Ben. "In the writing stage, recording stage or performing stage, songs live and breathe. They have good days and bad days. But it's always a journey. I want to push that journey forward as much as possible."
Sugi Dakks is the brainchild of Kyle Donald, originally from Lakeport, CA and now based in Los Angeles.
A college graduate in Jazz Piano Performance and Cuspi National Slam Poetry finalist, his dual interests in poetry and music merged into the jazz tinged hip hop sound that is Sugi Dakks.
His blend of rap, singing, jazz piano is largely self-produced and draws inspiration from Kendrick Lamar, Anderson Paak, Eminem and Miles Davis. His early singles have reached over 1 Million plays and the collaboration ‘Brave’ with electronic maestro’s MEMBA reached #1 on Hype Machine, was spun on BBC Radio, garnering major support from blogs such as This Song is Sick and EDM Sauce. Sugi Dakks released his debut mixtape ‘The Business’, mastered by Jared Hirshland (Anderson .Paak, NoMBe) early in 2018 and was supported by Lyrical Lemonade and Beautiful Buzz.
Gabriel is an up and coming R&B-Pop Singer-Songwriter and Keyboardist who got his start in music at the age of four. He started performing professionally at the age of ten by playing all around the Washington, DC, Maryland and Virginia areas with his Dad - Juan-Ramon Crespo’s R&B/Funk-Fusion band 3G. His music as a solo artist has been deeply influenced by the vintage sounds of early R&B, Motown and the 70’s disco wave. The singer, songwriter and producer has carved out a niche for himself, by blending the old school sound of artists like El DeBarge and Marvin Gaye, with a twist of the new.
The singer-songwriter began playing and writing music on the piano at the age of four. He later started formal classical music training at the age of nine and followed his passion to pursue writing and performing popular music, ranging from jazz to R&B while always paying homage to his Hispanic roots. After attending a Summer Performance Program in 2014 at the prestigious Berklee College of Music, Gabriel later graduated in 2018 from American University with a degree in Audio Production/Music Performance. In September of 2018, Gabriel released his first single entitled Turn It Up, which can be found on Spotify and iTunes, and is a precursor to his upcoming first solo album still in production.
Set to accompany Gabriel during his debut performance at The Mint will be several talented musicians who hail from such prestigious music schools at the renowned Musicians Institute and the Los Angeles College of Music. The backing band is as follows - Gio Lombardi on Electric Guitar, Maurilio Mina on Electric Bass, Kesley Reis on Drums and Micaella Landers on Vocals.
