Marty Summers grew up in Cheyenne, a small town in western Oklahoma. As a young boy, he sang at church, school, and family events, but didn't "officially" take the stage until he joined the Rodeo Opry family in 2009. Marty purchased his first acoustic guitar in 2008. Often accompanied by his musical neighbor, Glenn, he began learning songs on his guitar and singing in living room jam sessions.
Marty and his wife, Stephanie, discovered the Rodeo Opry one weekend when looking for a live music show to attend - and they have been fans ever since. About a year after attending their first show, Marty auditioned and has since become a repeat performer.
Marty graduated from Oklahoma State University in 1994 and is currently employed by Devon Energy. He and Stephanie live in SW OKC.
Josh is a 19 year old student at OSU-OKC studying landscape design and business. He's been singing since he could talk and playing guitar since second grade. Josh has been performing with the Opry since he was 16 years old.
Doc was raised in cowboy country in northern Arizona, surrounded by traditional classic country music and old "cowboy" songs. His biggest influences are Merle Haggard, Jim Reeves, Charley Pride, ad George Jones.
Doc started playing the guitar at an early age and had a chance to sit in with Waylon Jennings and Johnny Western. He has performed all over Oklahoma with various bands since 2009.
He now volunteers here at the Rodeo Opry and has been performing at the Rodeo Opry since 2011.
Tim is a guitar picker/singer/songwriter who lives in Oklahoma City. He grew up in Tahlequah, where he was exposed to a variety of music at an early age. He started playing guitar in high school and has spent many evenings since playing at small gatherings with friends. The Rodeo Opry Show on January 12 will be Tim’s first stage performance.
In 2015, Tim inherited his Grandmother’s 1940 Martin 0-17. This guitar has been played everyday since and serves as his inspiration to play, write, and sing.
Every Sunday evening 6-8PM, tune in to 99.7 Hank FM or stream crankhank.com to hear Oklahoma's Official Country Music Show recorded live in the historic Stockyards City district of OKC.
