Aimee Bayles is a singer, songwriter and recording artist based in New York City. Her latest release, Enough, showcases a collection of original songs about her life in the city and her rural southern roots. Originally from Virginia, her soulful, vocally-driven music is influenced by both an upbringing in southern choral music and her training as an opera singer. Aimee’s sound is inflected with inspirations from Patty Griffin, Gillian Welch, Neil Young, Norah Jones, Dolly Parton and Alison Krauss. She performs regularly at venues in New York City, including Rockwood Music Hall. Enough features Nat Osborn on Piano, Stu Mahan on Bass, Seth Johnson on Guitar, and Nick Falk on drums. Recorded at Rustic Studios in Portland Maine and Chiller Sound in New York, mixed by Danielle Warman of Chiller Sound (Bruce Springsteen, Phish), and mastered by Joe LaPorta (David Bowie).
