9th Avenue Trio

9th Avenue Trio Short BIO
Behind the sizzling keys and guitar riffs of Eric Jones, the upright bass stylings of Laine Ford and the blazing beat from Cole Betancourt, 9th Avenue Trio is at the intersection of rock and blues in Denver. Eric (15) begged for piano lessons at the age of 6 and added guitar at 12, while Laine (15) discovered the upright bass at 12 and hasn’t sat down since. Cole (15) started drumming out beats on kitchen cupboards before he could talk. With several members having played at music festivals around Colorado, Tennessee and Texas, this trio will lay down tunes beyond their years.

Mile High Scenesters

The mission of MHS is to provide a community-based platform for youth music programs in the Mile High area by fostering an environment of creativity and mentorship.

Mile High Scenesters was formed in 2012 after a group of music loving acquaintances came together through a very successful benefit held for long standing family members of the Denver music community after they had suffered a personal tragedy. This group found they had an undeniable chemistry along with their mutually shared love and passion and involvement in the local music community and decided they wanted to do so much more!

Blood Trench

Blood Trench is here to play music that rips faces and tears eardrums. We want to mix genres and create a new genre through melodic, angry sections and heavy breakdowns. From day one all three of us were passionate about our trve calling and are pursuing it the only way we know how through practice. Everyday we get better at our craft and hope to bring something new to the genre of metal.

Hunter Hallberg

Hunter Hallberg grew up around a variety of great music. At the age of 9 while taking piano, he decided he wanted to learn guitar, after picking out a guitar and amp, he saw that John Petrucci was going to do a workshop at Guitar Center (Guitarist from Dream Theater) he was so inspired, that he committed to practicing hard so he could someday be as good as John Petrucci himself.

At the age of 10 he participated in a local Guitar Solo contest as the youngest contestant and took 4th place overall (all ages) and scored the highest on technical performance with a Dream Theater song.

In 2016, he submitted a video for 106.7 FM KBPI & Denver School of Rock's Best kid Guitar player contest and became the first annual guitar winner.

Hunter likes to continually improve himself by taking Master Classes & has studied with Mark Tremonti, Chris Boderick, Tony MacAlpine, Doug Doppler, Andy James, John Petrucci, Jason Richardson, Tosin Abasi, Devin Townsend, Aaron Marshall and much more.

Hunter and three other young guns formed this band and they recently opened up for a national act "Trapt". Hunter is looking forward to continued growth with his awesome bandmates.
