SAVI MINDS is the musical moniker of Mikale D’Andrea, a songwriter and producer originally from New Jersey. Always having access to instruments in his childhood home, he learned guitar at an early age by playing folk songs with his family. He began experimenting with songwriting in high school, and quickly fell in love making his own music. Mikale played in bands for years in the New Jersey and Pennsylvania area, but after college, decided to make the move to Los Angeles with an album full of songs.
The move to LA completely changed his attitude towards music. The rough rock n roll edges soon turned into soft, reverb drenched guitar and synth work. After spending months in his bedroom studio, out came “DREAMING”. The song is representative of D’Andrea’s feelings towards songwriting, he says, "It’s easy to view the windows of my bedroom as the borders of my own world. Sometimes it’s a blissful experience to be in my own head, but it can be very lonely.” A few months after Dreaming came out, he released the song "Lazy".
"Lazy" earned D'Andrea several accolades, including Indie Shuffle's Most Popular Song of October, #1 on the Hype Machine Popular Chart, Curation on Spotify's Indie Pop Playlist, Sidekick Story's Best of 2018, multiple radio appearances, and many more. 2019 will be a big year for SAVI MINDS, including the release of his first EP, and bringing the live show to as many new ears as possible.
Catalina is an indie rock duo comprised of Jakob Shaw and Eric Poretsky. The band is currently in the studio working on their full-length debut. Stay tuned for a string of shows and releases in early 2019!
Saccharine combines the rhythmic sensibilities of post-dub with the warmth and texture of shoegaze, with strong songwriting grounding the two. They formed as a duo in 2016 in Los Angeles. This year they added three new members to their roster to bring the presence of a full band to their music. Their forthcoming EP is set to release in early 2019.
