The Palmer Squares

The Palmer Squares are a pair of hip-hoppers hailing from Chicago. Composed of Terminal Knowledge and Acumental, the duo started rapping back in high school in an effort to show up the artists that their friends were listening to at the time. Before long, they found themselves getting "called-out" in cyphers by notable artists such as Wax and Dumbfoundead. Their debut album, Finna, quickly climbed to #18 on the iTunes hip-hop charts when it was released in 2013. After the release of Finna, the Squares spent 3 years working on its follow up, Planet of the Shapes. About a year back, they realized they had more tracks than they knew what to do with and unloaded eleven with the release of their In Context mixtape. Planet of the Shapes was warmly welcomed May 25th, 2016—promptly claiming the top spot on the Bandcamp hip-hop charts. Over this time they've opened for a wide range of acts including Action Bronson, Umphrey's Magee and, just last September, embarked on a full-fledged tour alongside Psalm One and The Rapper Chicks.
