Off The Grid
Off the Grid (OTG) is a funk/rock band based out of Southern Maryland. OTG was founded by
lead guitarist and vocalist Steve Leads who originates from northwestern NC. OTG’s genre is
based from classic rock, rock, and funk. The blend of all of Leads past musical experiences is
what makes OTG an anomaly.
Leads first move from N.C. was to Atlanta where he played mostly at the Atlanta Underground.
Atlanta is where he had his first of three opportunities to be an opening act for Mother’s Finest
at Alex Cooley’s Electric Ballroom. Mother’s Finest was a local Atlanta band that was on the
way to becoming a nationally known funk/rock act. They are still touring internationally. Leads
later moved to the Virginia tidewater area where he became a full time professional musician.
He made his living playing six to seven nights a week in night clubs and upscale hotels on the
The original material performed by OTG is written by Leads. The band will be releasing an EP in
early 2019. “Tick Tock”, “I Know”, “OTG”, and “If Ya Lookin” are some of the original songs you
will hear OTG perform live.
OTG’s mission is to attract a diverse following of people who are looking for something
different that will satisfy more than one musical genre interest!
