Kinski

Kinski is a four-piece rock band from Seattle, WA. The band follows their instincts to explore pathways from visceral guitar rock, to sonic and heady avant-psych rock, and sparse, atmosphere-bending instrumentals. NME has described Kinski as: “Like Sabbath in a washing machine during a power surge.” Comprised of guitarists Chris Martin and Matthew Reid-Schwartz (Matthew also plays keyboards and flute), bassist Lucy Atkinson, and drummer Barrett Wilke, Kinski has toured with Mission of Burma, Comets on Fire, Oneida, Mono, Black Mountain, Acid Mothers Temple, and opened a month of dates for Tool on their spring ’07 tour.

Amphetaminized psych / rock / garage / fuzz
Influenced by psychedelia from all eras and many other things found along the way.

"..this album sparkles with the enthusiasm of youth, of optimism and hope. It is an album to forget the world’s problems and just, to borrow the opening lyric of ‘Too Early to Tell’, “Lay down, down out in the sun.” - Echos and Dust / London England

'impregnated with a Paisley Underground feeling! Could be the summer-hit of 2018, the 60s influenced catchy garage “Don’t Know Why” with a superb but discreet farfisa sound, a tune that I’m pretty sure Kim Fowley would like to have it on side B of his “Trip”!

Diminished Men

Diminished Men are an instrumental group formed by guitarist Steve Schmitt and drummer Dave Abramson in 2005. Drawing on film noir, deviant surf rock, jazz and hard boiled cinema music, Diminished Men refocus their influences into something entirely unique. Their first full length "Names of the Dead" (2005) introduced the bands jagged, hard-charging approach and cinema obscura ethos. A bizarre series of cassettes "American Volume Swells" and their "Six O' Clock Baby" album revealed a raw and unchecked side of the band through live recordings, improvisations and collage. It was their 2009 "Shadow Instrumentals" LP on Abduction Records, run by Alan Bishop of Sun City Girls and the Sublime Frequencies label, that got the band wider recognition for their creative and distinctive sound.
