New York City’s STATION is keeping rock and roll alive. A high voltage stage show with electrifying melodies makes STATION an unforgettable experience. Sharing the stage with numerous rock greats (Vince Neil, Bret Michaels, Pat Benatar, .38 Special, Survivor, Dio Disciples and many more), STATION has been making noise in the rock circuit since 2011. Their debut EP, “Wired”, gained them international recognition and rave reviews from publications such as Rock Report, Sleaze Roxx and Classic Rock AOR (where they were featured on the covermount CD). Produced by the legendary Michael Wagener (Metallica, Motley Crue, Janet Jackson, Alice Cooper), Wired put them on the national rock scene sending them to festivals like Rocklahoma and Musikfest as 100% independent artists. Beyond opening the door for national touring, Wired also allowed them to record their first full length LP, “Station.” “Station” was released in April 2015 and was met rave reviews reaching #12 on the CMJ Metal Radio Charts. Since the album’s release, the band has released 3 music videos (with several more on the way) and traveled farther across the US than they ever had previous. 2016 will see extensive touring and promotion for the album as they gear up to record a follow-up for release in 2017.
Joshua Lutz Band
"Joshua, Niko and Habrd are a new super group trio of NYC session musicians under the songwriting talent of Joshua Lutz who has worked with artists like Joss Stone, Lil' Wayne, Maroon 5, Citizen Cope and Al Green! This new iteration of the Joshua Lutz Band features jazz inspired rock, cocaine-like pop hooks and brutally honest poetry from deep within the chasms of human thought. From Elliot Smith and Jeff Buckley folk/rock to the raw grit of southern blues inspired punk and everything in between. This eclectic band of seasoned artists is an experience you'll not want to miss and not soon forget!" - Let me know if that works, edit how you see fit if need be.
Winter of 2017. After bouncing back from personal troubles, Vick Nader (vocals) broke a 2 years live performance hiatus teaming up with an old music companion/former band mate Ed Marson (drums) and Berkeley graduates Vinny Da Silva (guitar) and Apoena Frota Jones (bass) to have fun and jam out some rock tunes.
It wasn’t until a few months later, in August 2017 that The Velvicks finally debuted live at Irving Plaza. Since then, they have been refreshing the rock scene in NYC, delivering an all original "stadium rock" experience to intimate and well known venues like Rough Trade, Union Pool and Gramercy Theater without having any music released yet.
With influences from Pink Floyd, QOTSA, The Black Keys and Radiohead, yet a sound and vision completely singular, the general feedback so far has been nothing but inspirational and 100% positive.
“Songs are making sense, the band is delivering badass live performances and people are responding to it.” said Vick.
The band is less than 1 year old and it's currently mixing their first EP “Red Head” to be released soon. Check out their calendar for upcoming dates and experience them live. The Velvicks are known for their energetic shows and their energetic after parties.
