Adeline (of Escort)
A French-Caribbean juggernaut who sings, plays bass, writes and produces her own music, Adeline (pronounced
ad-uh-leen) dominates any stage she performs on and captures her audience not only with her powerful voice
but with her funky bass playing, daring personal style and soulful yet seductive dance moves. Her critically
acclaimed singles Emeralds, Swirl and Before have turned heads from Rolling Stone, The Fader, Refinery
29, Vice and Vogue. As the front woman of the lauded Nu Disco band Escort she has fearlessly taken center
stage at major festivals including Coachella, Montreal Jazz Fest, Full Moon Festival and her dashing solo
performance at Afropunk Brooklyn 2018 has put her on the map as one of the most exciting upcoming artists.
Adeline released her highly anticipated self-titled debut album [ad-uh-leen] on November 9th.
The story of Pepperwine began in the fall of 2010. A guitar player in a punk band, Breece, yearned to sing properly. He contacted a local music school and was told he would be given vocal lessons by a "bad-ass" vocal teacher – one Kellie Shane. The rest is history.
Pepperwine existed initially as an acoustic trio. In the summer of 2014, Pepperwine added electricity with a rhythm section (Julian Michalski & Michael Campanile) and has since played shows up and down the state of NJ while also venturing into nearby Pennsylvania, New York, Connecticut, and Delaware. Adding to two previously released 5-song EPs, Pepperwine released their first full length album in August 2018 called "Bright Ideas" - an 11 song, genre-blending record that fuses together elements of funk, rock, jazz, and soul.
Pepperwine continues pushing forward with a schedule full of shows, practices full of creative juices, faces full of smiles, and minds full of bright ideas. Stay tuned!
