“It’s all in our minds / Planted over time / Grew into a vine / That became intertwined” – from “All In Our Minds”On Passafire’s sixth studio release, Longshot, the Savannah, GA based rock outfit gives a testimony to following dreams, inspired by people, places, and experiences Passafire has shared since forming as a band. The group’s four members continue chasing their passion despite being told many times that “Making it as a musician is a long-shot,” a piece of advice that inspired this album and its title. Longshot takes its listeners through a full spectrum of emotions, telling stories of heartbreak, new beginnings, overcoming personal struggles, finding truths, discovering new places, and getting older, all weaved into Passafire’s genre-defying mix of reggae, hard rock, hip hop, and anything else that turns the group on musically.
Passafire was formed in Savannah, GA, in 2003 by Ted Bowne and Nick Kubley, and have built a strong reputation within the U.S. reggae scene through relentless touring with fellow band members Mike DeGuzman and Will Kubley. Bowne doesn’t mind the grueling schedule and adds, “Touring is the best way to keep the buzz about the band going. What keeps it fun and exciting is the people we meet and places we get to see. We are in a new city every day so there’s always something to go see or do.” They continue to be a larger part of the U.S. reggae scene, even though musically they are often far apart from many of their peers in the genre, with a growing emphasis on alternative and progressive rock elements within their songs.
See Water is the love child of reggae and punk rock. This up-and-coming band from Charleston, SC will take your ears on a roller-coaster ride through laid-back jams and hard-hitting rock riffs. Their style is similar to that of a mosh-pit on the beach at sunset. If their music was a cocktail, it would be a long island iced tea; at first you think, “There’s no way you can mix all of that together,” but sure enough, you take a sip only to find that it’s delicious and intoxicating.
See Water has been proving themselves in all their unorthodox glory at The Music Farm and Charleston Pour House, and venues throughout the east coast and the USVI, while performing alongside acts such as Passafire, The Movement, Badfish: A Tribute to Sublime, The Hip Abduction, Fear Nuttin Band, Sun-Dried Vibes, TreeHouse!, and Of Good Nature. See Water has released their debut EP, entitled 'Diluted Acoustica', and quickly began work on their next project. Their first full-length album 'Hit The Moon' was released February 2017 with the first single, 'Echo', leading the way.
"When you see a body of water, whether it's calm or violent, it makes you feel something, and that's what we're here to do."
Since their inception in high school in 2011, Threesound has rooted their inspiration in the love of music and furthering the interaction and experience of their listeners. Their ever-evolving sound is guaranteed to please, and their infectious performance will keep you coming back for more.
Their second album, Different Spaces, brings Threesound to a mature crossroads in their career. Emotion, vocal harmonies, and instrumental layering fuse into one record. The tracks have been tested on the road at live performances for over a year, creating a focused composition.
